  • Wow, they are spraying them pretty close, and with eyes open. Way to injure someone. Obviously they dont know what the hydrolic needle effect is or stand off distances for the shit...

  • that shit is wicked soon as it hits your face your eyes shut

  • Bro I kno how you feel.. because I had to get Hit with My Own M26 Taser & Saber Red in Training, I have to give you Props for walking threw that. But Down Here in the Bahamas I carry WildFire in the 9 oz can with Pistol grip thats 18% for sure it brought me to my knees after the 7 seconds. Saber Red Hurts like Hell But I would Rather get hit with My Taser or Saber red any day than to get hit with Wildfire again.. that stuff Doesn't Play !!! :)

  • Lard ass police men/women giving training. Hahha, Go to KFC instead.

  • that moron that was spraying u was WAY too close to ur face when he sprayed

  • Who's the dipshit doing the spraying? Evidently doesn't know about dynamic needling affect.

  • Well except a slim few of you the majority sound like idiots, OC isn't an immobilizer its an inflammatory which doesn't actually affect some people (very few with God's help) but for most that have been through this you'd rather be shot. At least while you're wearing it anyway. Also a gun isn't always an option, if you are a C.O. in a prison this is all you have to defend yourself against a few thousand convicts. Talk about courage no guns, just guts.

  • NO i would definitely rather be pepper sprayed than shot pepper spray doesn't require surgery

  • pepper spray affect all peoples.

but some peoples are more resistant.

  • Pepper Spray is worthless. Just get a gun.

  • True...but 5.3 Million SHU OC spray is killer in itself.

  • thats retarded kid. I carry a gun 24/7 but for some people pepper spray is their only option. IE, when going into new york where my family lives, I cant carry a gun. So pepper spray is my only option.

  • But how about in situations where you are stuck with idiot relatives who spout idiotic PC liberal #*@$. Sure, most of us would love to shoot such people with a gun, but we would probably have to go to court/jail.

In such situations, I'm looking for something to cause temporary pain, discomfort, humiliation.

What pepper spray/foam would be best for this situation?

  • Once your sprayed theres not enough cold water on the face of the earth to make that burn go away. It is fun though. :)

  • is the german nzy camp

  • Over the past 15 years I have sprayed suspects with several brands of OC. Sabre Red is the most wickedly effective stuff I have seen.

  • Fox 5.3 seems to work better since the effects kicks in right away. search on youtube fox pepper spray and watch some of the vids.

  • i got hit with 18%.. id rather shove my face into a fry cooker and follow it up with a cheese grater then do that again. i carry 20%on my duty belt. feel sorry for the person that i have to spray.

  • this stuff sux!! just imagine putting your face in hot grease! I think I lost about 10 lbs of snot when I got sprayed... the life of a CO!!!!

  • Will someone please tell me if this stuff really works, because I just bought some.

  • I don't know if this brand works, but I attest to the performance of Fox 3.5 million S.H.E. spray. I had to use it once and the guy went screaming like a little girl. I would have to say though that you would have to be aware of how much you're spraying. When I sprayed him, it was a short, continuous flow. Although it did the job, imagine being attacked by two or three people with a 3oz canister...Other than that, it worked wonders. I got a small mist of it and I was immobilized.(Shit sucked!!!)

  • @politicaldebauchery If you've truly been hit by 5.3, you know the reaction is one helluva lot worse than this sabre red shit. Once hit by 5.3, there's NO WAY you'd be able to calmly walk 50 yds like these folks are in the video. FOX rules over this crappy stuff.

  • @ayokay123 lol even if fox labs is hotter, sabre red is still very hot. Try it and then say again it's crappy stuff

  • @ThomasMin1988 Ok, I threw in a wee bit too much hyperbole. :D Actually, I HAVE been hit by SabreRed. Yep, it's hot and burned like hell, but not as hot as Fox 5.3 did. The one thing that SR has going for it is it's superior propellant system. Considerably more forceful than the 5.3, but I would expect Fox to address this in time. Fox is still the one for me, but I didn't enjoy getting hit by Saber Red either.

  • @ayokay123 Too bad that Sabre Red is actually about twice as strong as Fox 5.3. The 5.3 million scoville units mean nothing when diluted down to 2%. Fox = 0.7% capsaicinoids, Sabre Red is 1.33%. There is no stronger other than Bear Mace 2%. Believe the Fox hype all you want, 0.7% is good, but it's not better than 1.33% and if anything 5.3 would be the shit in this case.

  • @Ugotpwned66 I've experienced both in training, but a nice try on your part. What you're spewing is complete and utter BS. Much has been written comparing the two, and if you do some reading, you'll understand why Fox's formulation strips the skin of its protective oils much quicker than Sabre. The only advantage that Sabre has is its propellant system, which is stronger. Like I said, I've experienced both. Do you have any affiliation with Sabre? I have no affiliation with either.

  • @ayokay123 Blah, blah, blah marketing mumbo jumbo about stripping oils. It's all false and you just have a bias based on believe BS. What I said is true. Sabre Red is a 1.33% Capsaicinoid spray. Fox 5.3 only has half the amount of capsaicinoids 0.7%. Capsaicinoids are what create the heat. Therefore Sabre Red is hotter. It's a fact and Fox admits that. That's why their marketing came up with some other excuse. So nice try on your part, but Sabre is stronger.

  • @Ugotpwned66 I PRAY to God that you get sprayed in the face with Fox 5.3 some time. That will put a finale to your theoretical BS. My so-called "bias" is based on the fact that I've had to sample both. That's the proof of the pudding, mon frere. Think about it....if the formulation of Sabre Red was truly more effective/stronger, how difficult would it be for Fox to "strenthen" their own? Answer: It wouldn't be. It's not only the %capsaicin, it's just as much the delivery vehicle.

  • @ayokay123 I agree 100%. The biggest problem with many different brands of OC is they start out with a very good formulation and then use a water miscible formula that takes too long to work. The carriers used are as important as the percent of Major Capsaicin Content. What good is a spray with 1.33% Major Capsaicin Content if its mixed with 60% Water? It takes too long to work. Fox works so well because they use a lower percent of oil @ 2% with a higher grade of resin plus an effective solvent.

  • @Ugotpwned66 Sabre may have more Capsaicin content in it but that does not make it any better because look up the MSDS sheet for the product and it has distilled H20 as a primary ingredient. Now I believe Sabre Red is effective but Fox 5.3 is a much stronger spray. I tell you what, look up the video titled Big John vs Fox 5.3. The day before he was sprayed with Sabre Red and he said Fox was much worse. Read the LE reports on policelink about how fast acting it is. Sabre works but fox is better.

  • @ayokay123 Here' some math for you. 5.3 million SHU * 2% is equal to 106,000 SHU. Sabre Red uses a 2 million SHU * 10% = 200,000 SHU. Almost twice as strong. Sorry to burst your bubble and love affair with Fox Labs, but the Sabre Red will hurt more. Next time you want to sound like a little brat on youtube, check the facts. Goodbye! :)

  • @Ugotpwned66 Wow a pepper spray caliber war! I was sprayed with Sabre Red in training and it was by no means pleasant. However, where Fox 5.3 truly excels is with reaction time. Fox Labs is by far the fastest acting OC spray I have been exposed to. I did feel that the Fox 5.3 was more intense than Sabre Red and the Sabre Red Foam I was hit with did not start to burn till I made it to the decon station. However once it did kick in it sucked bad. Both will work but Fox works a lot faster.

  • @Ugotpwned66 BTW, I don't know why this video says 18% Sabre Red because Sabre doesn't make 18% Pepper Spray. This looked like Def Tech .18% (thats less than 1%) major capsaicinoids. To be fair I believe Def Tech is effective most of the time neither Def Tech or Sabre Red is as fast acting as Fox 5.3. If you do choose Sabre Red I recommend their oil based formulas. Water based formulas are for departments who are more worried about liability than protecting their officers.

  • @Ugotpwned66 This guy right here, posted the stupid comment on this video.

  • 18% doesn't exist. The highest is 15%.

  • sabre red is either 10% or 5% , not 18% and the 5.5 hurs way more and kicks up faster.

  • What is this training for? To be a Jail guard? OR a police officer? As some of the people in that video are huge. How would they pass the PT test to become a cop? The The mile and half run in 10 mins would kill them.

  • most likely security officer training

  • They are security guards doing thier OC training

  • corrections officers, we don't "guard" a anything.

  • Comment removed

  • "ThomasMin1988" The purpose of this training is just for the simple fact of giving the officer the respect this stuff deserves. Most officers that have not been sprayed with it get "trigger happy" and spray whoever pisses them off. Whereas if you know the reprocussions of it, your less likely to just spray anyone and everyone. We got hit with the M18 taser also for this same reason, but didn't get the chance to get that on video haha! That was the funnier reaction of the two! haha!.

  • LoL you almost walked into the parked car ^^

may i ask you what sense this test has?

I've seen a lot of them on youtube but i couldn't figure out for waht they are. Imo you will always be rocked if somebody sprays you with Sabre Red, doesn't matter how many times you've taken it before...

  • most security companies and almost all police departments make you get exposed to the chemical agent your gonna carry. to learn the limitation of its effects and how you will react when sprayed.

  • Ok most of you have pointed out that there is not a 18% Sabre Red... this is true and a typical noob mystake. My instructor and I were speaking about sprays before we actually got sprayed and thats where I got my info mixed up. This is only 10% in the 4.4 oz cans. Sorry about the confusion, but still it hurt haha! Thanks for setting it all straight!

  • percent oc just says how much of the formula is OC. the real indicator of heat is major capsaicinoids. Fox labs has 0.66 percent major capsaicinoids while the sabre you was sprayed with has 1.33 percent major caps. to compare sabre red to something Tabasco sauce has .02 percent capsaicinoids so sabre is some really hot shit.

  • is SR better than fox labs?

  • Sir ive been through the sabre red training course and am certified with sabre red oc. I can tell you without a doubt there is no 18 percent. if you say there is link me to the page because ive contacted security equipment corporation the makers of sabre red oc sprays and they said there is no such formula. as well as done web searches. now if your talking about casaicin percent not oc percent the do have a .18 percent capsaicinoid formula.

  • there 10,13 and 15 % of oc sabre red !

    but i've never heared of 18% ...

maybe it just came out !

  • sabre red is 10 percent not 18

  • There is 18%! People LOVE to say "There isn't this or there isn't that." on youtube. W Why dont you look it up on the internet BEFORE you say "NUH-UHH! NO THERE ISN'T! CUZ MY DADDY SAID! BLAH BLAH BLAH." Well guess what? Do a search! 4.4 OZ bottle is $26+shipping.
