I agree.. Nice Koshi Waza... And good performace of shushi No kun..I guess she s from Akamine Sensei s Hozon Shinkokai kobudo.. Koshi waza came to kobudo through late Yuchoku Higa Sensei of Shorin ryu Kyudokan karatedo. As, I knw Taira Sensei invited Higa Sensei to his dojo to teach Koshi waza to studs, to make kobudo more powerfull.. :)
Nice one Blagmeister, this school performed a lot of different katas on the day, this is the only one I got the chance to film, but there was some really cool (and mad) stuff involving turtle shells and spears, kama and other tools. Good to know what the name is.
If you ask me it is like karate witha staff, seen old bo kata they were different.

The ladie was performing Shusi no Kon Dai, she from from the "Ryukyu Kobudo Hozon Shiko Kai".
The "Turtle shell/Spear" is the "Tembei/Rochi". The one which you saw must be the Meisato(Maesato)no Tenbei.
