I think it's weird that he buys Slayer records religiously but he can't remember that the record he's talking about is called Diabolus in Musica. By the way he does a pretty good impression of Tom Araya's voice LOL
I like him a lot, but I don't agree with him when he says that bands that "progress" make albums that "suck". Many do great things. You suck if you sell out and make music that's "trendy" and aligned to what's hip and selling, not if you add new stuff to your music. It's not that easy.
Aside from that, he's still very intelligent and funny.
bullsh*t. slayer has sold out every which way. listen to the latter albums, then listen to the earlier ones. watch them play only newer tunes to a nu-metal geek ozzfest crowd. watch king start merchandising his name up the a**. remember ice-t? f*ck the new slayer. they are deceased to me.
um, they dont play only newer tunes, ever. also, why does it matter who they play to? if theyre good, i dont give a shit who attended their concerts. why would it ever matter?
it only matters when people say they haven't changed one bit. because have changed A LOT. thats my only point. it doesn't matter who they play to. it matters that they get false credit for not changing when they have. otherwise, no big deal.
bands progressing is a good thing. people change therefore their music should too.

@IAmKrow
It's also true that many bands fail to make good records when they add new influences to their music, though.

Compared to a lot of bands, they haven't really changed. Just like Iron Maiden, you know what you're going to get
