From the specs you said, there are 2 no-nos. First, you mentioned that your RAM is 1gb and your GPU is also 1gb. This is not good as all of the RAM is "eaten" by the GPU which slows the game down. Second is that the 9500gt only has 128-bit interface, so although the card has big memory, it doesn't have the "balls" to keep it smooth. The graphic cards recommended/stated by rockstar games have 256-bit interfaces which make GTA IV smoother on their systems.

ok i have looked at my core, and checked with nvidia, my core isnt an 8000seires core dumbass, its g96. which as ive talked to a tech supporter thats not anywhere near 8800 8600 etc, i was so tired of your dumbass thinking you know about my gpu, so i decided to get the facts and my friend you are wrong, so so wrong. g96 is the 9600gt core as they told me and only the dd2 versions of my card are based or are close to 8000series as they said. see i was right.

first off let me say my gpu isnt the shitty 9500gt's. its not the ddr2 and is not the low clock piece of shits. its an xfx 9500gt,gddr3,600/1000 mhz clocks stock. shader clock of 1500. i run gta perfectly no matter what you say, you must not know much about pc's and how they handle games. see the only reason i get 30fps+ with very high and res of 1440x900 is because i dont use full AA. only 4x. trust me it runs well. only time u need a quad core is if you run full AA and other aa related shit.

changed the system now! its worthy if you have a few bucks. You basicly need a new mobo and a cheap amd x2 (around 100€ for both together), new memory (nowadays u pay 19 for 2 gb) and whatever you still need! my I changed the GPU too but my guess is that a HD3650 works fine. Now i have 24fps average =D
