The 80's were the best time for heavy rock, girls that liked to dress like girls, horror movies, sex, partying ....everything. From the age of 9 to 18 i was in heaven . The alternative culture is what ruined it. They called everything that was fun "cheesy". At least it wasn't boring. BOOOO to the alternative culture. Things dont have to have meaning to be fun !

You got to say one thing about the trailer. It totally misleads you about a lot of things that go on in the movie. That way then you are surprised at what the movie is about. They could have done the trailer focused around Angela as the picked on girl but it leads you to believe its about some typical killer.

I mean look at the trash Rob Zombie made by trying to recreate a classic horror film like Halloween. Today's young audience is all drugged up anyway...what do you know anyway. No wonder today's audience likes the white trash crap like Rob Zombie's Halloween. What a waste of time.

@watchmanproductions I love the 70's and 80's horror films, certainly the cheesy ones (Don't Look In The Basement, Killer Klowns From Outer Space, etc.), but Rob Zombie's films were not that bad. His version of Halloween was more so a tribute to the original and did borrow only a few things from the original. It was a different movie... I recommend the After Dark Horror Fest films for some good ones, Hollywood generally shits out horrible movies as far horror goes.

I love the films like Martyrs and A Serbian Film, or The Human Centipede also, the Transgressive films that would shock general audiences, but are usually a great form of art and expression, even if they gross folks out. They aren't worried about as much about money, it's about art. Unlike Hollywood.

Big time, the cheesy ones are the classics ones because for some reason their low budget production gives them a more realistic tone and style.Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Last House on the Left, etc are the films that set the stage for the horror films of today.Actually, I do appreciate Rob Zombie's films (Devils Rejects, etc) and but the way he remade Halloween is too comical and trashy. DHF films are raw!!!!

Not all young people take drugs and Rob Zombie is a musician so you can't judge modern horrors on that. perhaps the senarios aren't as realistic but newer horrors are more realistic because of better effects and graffics and they generally are scarier because of that.

I saw Sleepaway Camp when I was 15, I rented it at Silver Screens on VHS...I will NEVER forget that last scene ever...gave me nightmares, I'm 30 now, and it still scares the shit out of me! Awesome movie though!

You assume it's jason and then find out its his mom. so in a way you think its a guy and it turns about to be a woman. hence they both have twist endings.
