Beautiful piece! I am from Argentina. This season, Christmas, is when it is more often performed in parrishes and churches. It represents very much of this festivity in our country. Thank you and Merry Christmas to you all!
This mass is incrdible. Why shouldn't a celebration (of God or otherwise) actually be a celebration? My chamber choir performed this and never have I had so much fun. This piece deserves far wider recognition and appreciation.
Great performance! Great interpretation of Argentine folk music! One suggestion: work on phrasing in order to give more shape to your sound. One way to acconplish this is placing more stress on the penultimate syllable and less on the ultimate. Spanish is a language based on this kind of speech pattern --- PALABRAS ESDRUJULAS. Keep up the great work!
I like the conductor, who is he? Does an excellent job. It's conductors like these that make singing in a mass choir fun, he reminds me of Bob Chilcott in his style. I also quite liked the soloists, lovely sound :) Post more soon...
beautiful!! i am from argentina, and i loved it! i love misa criolla, my favourite movement is the chacarera the credo, i made a video with zamba quipildor's version of it with pictures of argentina.
Eeeehhh.... interesante.... Pero parece Mambo más que floklore argentino. (Sounds more like Mambo than Argentine folk music). Prefiero la versión con "charango y bombo" :P.
I tried to conduct this at my school, but my professor wouldn't let me. she said it was too cheesy....i still think this song rocks. and you made it sound pretty good! congrats.
1-maybe she dosen't like it, 2-this is a piece that combine folk rhythms from Argentina-3 how many countries have a Mass with some many differents kind of music with similar texture?-the composition itself is not Brahms but is better than other countries that have nothing instead. Some of the music is original.Maybe you have to conduct, Brahms requiem instead, and your teacher apply as conductor for the Berlin Philarmonic.
¡Enhorabuena, excelente este gloria de la misa criolla!

The use of bongos is my only regret, other than that I think you did a good job. Thank you.

The work of Ariel Ramirez Cheezy, your teacher has a limited view based on ignorance.
