  • To me, there is this undercurrent of lampoon to Oswald's delivery and responses, like the whole thing was sort of tongue-in-cheek. When you look at the television clip of Oswald's interview, his body language suggests this as well. I can't help but get the feeling that he was well aware that the whole charade was a big put-on, yet had no idea he was being thrown under the bus.

  • There was really NO "Fair Play for Cuba Committee"! Lee was the only member! It was all a front for the intelligence community to set Oswald up as a Patsy.

  • @lancetop

You're just talking about New Orleans. My uncle was a member in California.

  • '' i was under the protection of the .......uhh''....etc.(us government)..i believe he was.(i'm certain he was).

  • Oswald was an infiltrator and agent provocateur working under Guy Banister. Jim Garrison was on the right track in his investigation. Oswald was deliberately stuck out there so he could get the names of people who backed his Fair Play cause but also to establish him with pro-Castro credentials for who knows what, but probably to get him into Cuba or pro-Castro circles. This network then drew him into a plot to kill Kennedy where he was set-up as a patsy. The radio show is agiprop for New Orleans

  • Good comment. All these Fair Play for Cuba shenanigans were, as author Jim Douglass puts it, a "political theatre" designed to not only discredit the movement(which the CIA had been trying to do well before Oswald ever came into the picture, from what I understand), but of course Oswald as well. By Oswald appearing to have pro-Castro views, once the assassination went down, not only would Oswald be the fall guy, but Castro would as well. Both Bringuier and Ed Butler were affiliated with the Cia.

  • Of course, Oswald was also informing for the FBI, and ,in my opinion, probably felt that he was working to prevent the assassination and instead ended up taking the fall.

  • Hard to say what Oswald knew that day in the Depository. Once you understand the Paine's was a CIA safehouse and the people involved helped arrange Oswald's job at the Depository the rifle's being there isn't so easily explained. What is really bizarre is the possibility Oswald was Manchurian Candidate MKULTRA hypnotized. Who knows what orders Oswald was under in the Depository. One thing is for sure he kept his mouth shut in the Police Station which means he was still operating covertly.

  • his voice sounds like a machine pretending to be a man!! it's a well known fact that the soviet union had advanced alien technology!! ( they even call lho and alien at one point in this audio how blind are you people )the movie terminator 2 was based on actual events from behind the commie curtain so it's not a stretch to realize those dirty rotten commies replaced the real oswald with a commie robot spy bent on world domination!! they almost got away with it if not for youtube

  • does Oswald sound like he isnt a Native English Speaker on occasion during this interview. E.g. in Soviet Union rather than in THE Soviet Union. I'd go as far to say its done intentionally. B/c then he reverts to a pure mix of Yankee/southern American accent. On the whole though; this guy doesnt sound anything like a nut to me. He is sharp. Hes focused and well informed in the subjects he discusses. Poor guy. I wonder what really happened to him. And how big was his role in JFK assn.

  • Whats interesting about this clip and has not been picked up by anyone, is that Oswald is given an opportunity at 7.29 to criticise Kennedy and agree with the statement that JFK is a 'ruffian' and 'Thief'. Instead he disagrees and concentrates on attacking the State Department and CIA. This does not prove or disprove Oswalds guilt, but surely raises doubts as to finding a motive for him to kill Kennedy just 3 months later.

  • Raises doubts as to finding a motive

never had one to begin with(oswald being the only alleged assassin not confessing)so hoover eventually blamed his mother, and his mole ford his wife!!!!LMAO!

  • That poor, poor man was as innocent of that crime as I am. Shame on anyone who believes otherwise!

  • If you want to know why JFK was killed, watch "Was it Johnson". JFK was exposing the Banking and military complex, but most of all Johnson was being investigated for is Cotton business that would of exposed corrupt powerful Texas oil men.

  • No communist sympathizer assassinated Kennedy. Kennedy is one president that Cuba and Russia could feel somewhat secure having in office(given the "We all breathe the same air" speech recently). Kennedy was a peace president and extreme leftists and Communists alike know how rare that is in the line of American war presidents. A peace president is killed, in my opinion, by people who want war.

  • Yes Oswald was by far the best debator in this set-to. They kept trying to trick him but he was too sharp. There is no way in Hell Lee Oswald killed Kennedy with his magic bullet then mananged to get four miles away then wated Tippit, then got to the Texas Theatre and was calmly watching "The cry off battle" when he was arrested.

  • LHO comes close to blowing his cover, IMO at 2:50. He almost says that he was "under the protection of the U.S. Gov't", but corrects himself! Revealing..

  • No, I don't think so. Oswald clearly clarified what he meant by saying that since he was still a legal citizen of the United States and NOT one of the USSR, so he still had rights. Sounded like a simple slip of the tongue.

  • Yes HE DID ANTON,oswald was clear, knew his stuff, but ANYTHING dealing with government support, govt.connections he tried to change the subject,he paused, very nervous.Rankin destroyed files that PROVED oswald was working for hoover(at least in some way)The cia and mob set this guy up.The d.r.e knew oswald was an fbi mole.He was probably trying to get as much info on joannides operation.

  • Even though I think Oswald killed Kennedy acting alone, I don't deny the possibility of him working for the U.S. government.

  • Anton, you feel Oswald killed Kennedy acting alone. You don't feel like he says, "I'm a patsy!"

    Interesting.

  • I'm agnostic on the subject. I have -- literally -- 14 books on the subject and could debate myself for days on whether Oswald acted alone, is totally innocent or was part of a conspiracy. If I was forced to pick I'd say he acted alone, but the only thing that always got me was what the Doctors at Parkland Hospital, like Dr. McClellan, Clark, Akin, and Peters claimed they saw -- that they BACK of JFK's head was blown out.

  • That's the one thing that gets me as well. The back of his head was blown off! I even heard that the driver might have been a part of it! It's really interesting! At least with Pac, it's kind of cut and dry (with his death)

  • Ah, the driver theory has been refuted. It was based on a bad quality Zapruder film, but if you look at a clear version of frame 312, you can see both of Greer's hands are on the steering wheel, which is in accordance with his testimony to The Warren Commission.

The Zapruder film also shows the back of JFK's head in tact after fame 313, which, along with the autopsy photos and personnel at Bethesda Hospital, contradicts what the doctors at Parkland said.

  • Ok, and thanks.

  • Anton, in your humblest opinion...why was Kennedy killed. Cuba? The Mob (brother Bobby was giving them hard time) Vietnam?

  • Although I officially claim to be agnostic on the subject, I think Oswald acted alone, and did it to make a name for himself. One thing that the Warren Commission did that even Jim Garrison agreed with is catalog EVRYTHING Oswald did the 2 or 3 weeks leading up to the assassination. Now of course, Garrison uses that to prove Oswald was totally innocent, and didn't conspire with anyone. But we know Oswald shot him, and it's an indication that he did it alone.

  • Ok, I hear you. That's interesting! Thanks!

  • What books have you read concerning the assassination?

  • The Warren Commission report saying basically what you are saying. I had read an essay on Garrison's investigation. I really haven't read much, if anything I've looked at more documentaries.

Like I told you before (an u said it too) the Parkland Hospital doctors saying the back of his head was blown off makes it interesting.

  • Yeah. That's the only thing that keeps me agnostic on the subject.

  • Anton, when you get a chance you could check out on you tube, the conspiracies of RFK Assassination. Pretty interesting.

Btw, do you feel it was a conspiracy?

  • I will.

And no, definitely not. There is much, much more evidence JFK's assassination was conspiratorial than RFK's.

I wrote a review on Amazon about a book that tried to prove Bobby Kennedy's assassination was a conspiracy.

Google "Anton Batey Robery Kennedy", and my review should be there. I reviewed it in July, 2007 I think.

  • Oh okay Anton! Thanks for responding!

  • If anyone could verify the 2 cia guys being there, yeah i would change my mind... they have no business being there.(though we can verify cia in dallas for no reason its fact)But an interesting theory could be the polka dot dress lady probably slipped sirhan some acid,a joke gone horribly wrong. And maybe in his paranoia shot rfk. who knows

  • Although I disagree with SOME of the things Oswald is saying, Oswald pwned Butler and Bringuier on this one...
