We generally have some high fins in stock but it is always advisable to phone the shop on 01661 844 005 to check prior to travelling as our stock changes daily.
well that is pets at home for you they just sell you anythinng i only went there because we were heading that otherwise i would of went to my local petshop instead and how does a breeding tank cost
i think my sunset platy gave birth and i have the only one fry in this breeding net i bought and i was wondering what should i feed it and should i put the female in with the fry ??
Apologies for the late reply, I've just got back from holiday. I always find it better to have a heavily planted tank for livebearers than have a seperate breeding net. Crushed flake should be fine to feed fry.
For foture fry drops, get some bushy live plants like hornwort should give them a place to hide and they'll live the first few weeks off of micro junk that grows on the plants. my fry are all free swimming in 2 weeks (about 4 batches in the last 2 months). I probably lose a bit, but the ones that do grow, grow healthier and faster
We do and the next day delivery charge is £12.95. The fish are sent in an insulated box with a heat pack or two depending on weather. If you send me a message or contact me from the shop website I can e-mail you a full price/stock fish list for you to look through. It was just updated a couple of days ago.
I hear people saying that they can't get this or that species in the tropical fish sections of US shops which I find strange. Its maybe because many of the unusual species are developed in Europe - I don't know.

I wanna get one of these but every time I go to the pet store, the ones they have are always infected with ick -_-
HaileyJane19 2 years ago
We sometimes have fin damage/fungal problems with this species but once they are settled they are fine.
Any whitespot on fish is usually brought on by stress or poor water conditions.
pondguru 2 years ago
Yeah.. I know how ick works.
HaileyJane19 2 years ago
Just pointing out that if you see fish in a central sytstem with an infestation, the fish in the other tanks can't be too good either.
