A gem among this trash we call music nowadays. Not only is she gorgeous and talented, but she's brought true heart back to R&B music as well as putting her own unique taste to it. She's an inspiration for someone as young as her!
It's such a relief to see somebody who's got a strong enough voice to be playful with it... unlike a lot of current pop stars who need help just singing in their little range from the last hit.

Man, i cant wait to she gets desperate and start taking more clothes of with each new album. All the female singers do this. Tony Braxton clothes got more skimpy as her career progressed. Not even sure you can label this as R&B. She infuses elements of so many different styles that it becomes it's own separate genre. She is absolutely magnificent. Not to mention real easy to look at.

Janelle Monae is definitely a product of the Big Band era/ Rat pack era. She's done her research on performance also. There's experimental elements from the late 70's in there mixed in. I wouldn't be surprised if she suddenly jumped over and pulled off some Funkadelic. Very interesting.
