  • Beutiful. It really shows what time and dedication can do to a hprse

  • you will be missed Roxy! </3

  • this brought me to tears! i dont know why.

  • RIP Roxy!

  • my dad died 55 days before my 10th birthday

  • she's just amazing, so is Roxy!

  • I've always loved this video.. it wells my heart every time :') x

  • wouldnt that hurt the horses back by standing on it? and that horse is really cute (:

  • @Horses321Rule Although I'm no expert on the subject, I'm only sharing a video I got by email, I don't believe it hurts them.

  • No... it's a horseback, not like a human back. The only time it's an issue is with horses 2 years old or younger who haven't fully formed their backs. It doesn't hurt them, but it's harder on those younger backs. God made horses to carry a man... He knew what He was doing. :-)

  • @Horses321Rule about 20% of a horse's body weight is the amount of total weight he/she horse can carry. i.e. a 1,000 pound horse should easily carry 200 pounds of rider and tack. The 20% rule typically applies to competitive/"hard" riding. For pleasure riding, many use a 30% rule, so this 1,000 pound horse could carry 300 pounds for shorter pleasure rides. Anyway, she is riding an AQH which are known to be able to carry large loads effortlessly.

  • @Horses321Rule im an experienced rider and horses have strong back muscles and it dosent necessarily hurt them it all depends on were u stand in this case it does not look like it is hurting the lil guy

  • @Horses321Rule It doesn't hurt them at all unless you're wearing high heels! :) To be honest they barely feel you.

  • @Horses321Rule no it doesnt hurt them however if you do it too much too often they could get a little sore!

  • @horses4evazyitoggx oh and for the owner of the vid:when she CANTERED she was moving her hips in a forward movement to go woth the rythm of the horses beats wich helps the horse keep balance and encouragment(speeed)

  • The horse that stacy westfall is riding, Wizard's Babydoll "Roxy" actually is owned by stacy. I met stacy westfall in Harrisburg a year ago. She is actually older than her 20's.

  • I hope I can ride like this someday and that someday I will also have an amazing connection with a horse

  • Clicker Training

  • This is amazing. It was so beautiful and i got the chills. :)

  • animalluvar- I met Stacy in Kentucky one year. She was at breyerfest. Her and Roxy are amazing in person!

  • That's so beautiful so have such a strong bond with a horse. There's so much trust between them.

I'm trying to build a sense of trust with my new New Forest pony - he was badly treated before I go him, and has never trusted anyone. I don't expect to get as far as this girl has (it's just amazing), but with a lot of time and effort, hopefully I can show my pony that he can trust me and I'm not gonna let him down like everyone else has.

    Just beautiful. Wow.

  • This is so fun to do. I ride my horse without tack all the time. We can side pass, but no spins. We're english girls. We jump and do VERY basic dressage (halt, side pass, backup, square up, etc.) without tack. It isn't really hard, it's more about getting the courage to do it, because when you think about it, your reins are two small pieces of leather. Ultimately your legs and your seat control the horse's movement, and a saddle is solely for your comfort. Although I always wear a helmet.

  • BEAUTIFUL video :D !! I am training my mares to do this (I mean ride with no saddle or bridle, just my mare and I) . I love to see videos like this :D !!

  • dude, its like when you own a dogit ether listens to out of fear or because of a bond, and that is a bond right there

  • I do find it some what morally objectionable to ride horses for pleasure. I don't think the horse finds any pleasure in carrying a person on their back. They probably don't live as long either from the burden of having to carry people.

  • @esh325 Look at the horse's ears. Look at his body language, he's enjoying himself, he's relaxed and clearly in his element. If he didn't want to do this he would just throw her off, but he likes working, as do most horses. Horses were bred to be work animals. I've worked with horses that become Depressed when they're not working. They like learning new skills and finding new ways to communicate with the rider, who ultimately should be part of that horse's social herd. This is far from immoral.

  • @esh325 I think you need to re-evaluate what you're saying. And maybe do some research into that. My gelding loves being ridden, and gets upset and ignores me if I don't ride him. And actually, it's a way to keep horses fit and healthy as well, which increases their life span. It creates a huge sense of trust and bonding between the horse and handler, making the horse more relaxed around people. Stressed horses who fear people have lower life expectancies.

  • that is her horse....

  • amazing

  • holy shit its like she was riding with her dad....what a connection between rider and animal better than most husbands and wives what a performance

  • Anyone can ride a horse, very few can wisper! Stacy is AmAzInG!!! :)

  • That's so sad

  • wow!!! she is realy talanted i wonder how a person can have that conecshion off a horse? and bi the way i fall in love with your horse lol

  • Jamie a girl in Chatsworth can do the same thing, she has ridden since she was a year old, she has a Q.H. that should be on you tube as well. Her mom Jodi has a ranch with her dad called Stoney Point. If you want to learn how to do this contact them. They give lessons. Nancy

  • GOD BLESS YOU STACY... LOVE YOU!!!!

  • that's one amazing rider.

  • Sorry to tell you to the person who put the video up. she is not mute at all. and her dad passed away 24 days before the competition

  • @CreeSayoko this is meant as being mute while she is on the horse - not as a person, Meaning she doesn't give verbal commands.

  • @Moscreations

The very definition of "verbal" is to speak aloud. You state an oxymoron by saying she's giving verbal cues, but that she's mute in the same instance. So what you mean to say is that she's giving nonverbal cues and signals.

  • Amazing video I am wanting to do this for my Granddaddy who taught me everything

  • wow thats amazing..... <3

  • that is amazing. truly amazing. i wish i could do that. i'm still younger than her, and really doubt it will happen, but i wish it would. that is truly amazing.

  • wow wow wow.. so inspiring.. just wow

  • very emotional video, this girl has a gift from god. And she's using it!

  • i love bareback riding @moscreaations do you have a horse??

  • whats the secret how do you do that?????

  • @horses4everblaze I'm afraid I don't know, I'm not Stacey, it's a video about Stacey

  • @horses4everblaze understanding your horse is the first an most important thing.. if you cant hear what they are saying dont even try. it's all about body language. see the video's of monty roberts and read he's books. it helped me to do everything with my horse.

  • wow thats amazing. If i could do that wow that would blow my mind. its so great how much that horse trusts her. i wish i was a horse whisperer.......

  • AMAZIIIING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @ctswardour Ummm.... truee...? and how is that? ...I'm actually excited to hear thiss

  • I Wish I Could ride like that :) speechless i love that horse i so want one like that

  • Wow - no words

  • Stacey Westfall really is my idol, she's amazing and even through all the emotional pain she puts in so much effort in. I sort of think she was determined to make him happy and proud. She's great with her horse ( I think it's roxy?). She's inspirational...

  • she realy nows how to bond with this horse!

  • well she did a really good job but its so simple the way she rides she pushes with her legs pertends she has rains and the horse can feel that so the horse responds

  • shes bouncing lol :P

  • Wow, the crowd is going crazy, I'm going crazy, this woman is just awesome! No other words for it. I'm still learning the way of the horse and I still have a long way to go, but she's totally got it!! Thank you for posting this video. It's another great learning experience that will keep me going for a long time.

  • Easily Done ! How? This is taught (& WAY MORE) at Minnesota Horse Training Academy in Ogilvie, Minnesota. A 3 week daily class, bring your own horse too! You will learn how to train your own horse - to do exactly this - AND MORE !! VERY EASY !!! check it out !!

  • omg wow so cool. i hope i can do that with my horse some day

  • Practise, sitting your canter just takes a while, expecilly bareback, i can just do it. but gallop. No WAY! shes amazing!

    What is the riders name?

  • @sweetsunshine260 It says at the beginning of the video - Stacy Westfall :)

  • This is actually amazing! Such a beautiful friendship between horse and rider! Its lovely to see:)

  • it's AMAZING!!!!!!! :)^^

  • That brought such tremendous feeling to my soul, also tears...... 2 C a person who can communicate with an animal and the animal 2 understand..... If only humanity could B this understanding of ones own feelings, I believe the world would B a much better place to live in.

  • she reins bareback like its nothing... but its SOMETHING! wow, amazing.

  • i love stacy westfall

  • you are the most talented girl I have ever seen.

  • whoa! that was so beautiful and amazing i started to cry!

  • man, this girl is sooooooooooooooo amazing

  • I am seeing more and more people do this so it either takes a ton of time or a special skill that God grants us to have with a horse.....interesting :)

  • I am seeing more and more people do this so it either takes a ton of time or a special skill that God grants us to have with a horse.....interesting :)

  • your dad would be so proud of you xxx

  • what an amazing video its abslotly brilliant

  • kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

  • thats stacy westfall and her her horse roxy

  • this is a really touchy video , i cried when you brought the horse to a complete run at the perfect time in the song , great :))), your dad is probably really proud of you :)

  • This girls amazing :)

  • It's really not that hard to ride without a saddle and bridle. It just takes a good trainer and rider to make the horse respond well to leg and seat aids-which are the most important things about riding anyways.

  • This isnt a bareback riding compotition its Freestyle reining and she chose to go bareback

  • That's like Pat Parelli does! Absolutely amazing and beautiful!!! I hope she always uses that talent!

  • Truely an inspiration. If i could be half as good as that with my horses i would be estatic. Thumbs up!

  • She isn't a horse whisperer people she is just a really good rider, you don't have to be a horse whisperer to do that. It just takes legs and seat.

  • they love each other and how gorgous is that!!!

  • three letters W O W

  • Horse is Wizard's Baby Doll (just gotta listen to the introduction).

  • this isn't just ANY bridleless rider!! this is STACY WESTFALL!!

  • This is from Stacy's website:

Whizards Baby Doll (she rides, but does not own) She was a five-year-old when we won the Open Freestyle at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress. Roxy came to us to be started under saddle as a two-year-old. I was the first one to ride her and I trained her during her two-year-old year. Jesse trained her during her three-year-old year and rode her to the Reserve Championship at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress Reining Futurity LTD Open Division.

  • @moscreations How she did that is putting her weight on her thighs on the muscle-y parts of the horse's side and leaning forward.

  • @jonneeTV the horse is called Roxy, see her other videos

  • Definately a horse whisperer! I wanna meet her!!

  • awesome ! !

  • WOW :D That is amazing :D

  • One more thing. This in not a "Bareback Competition" All the other competers did their reining patterns with full tack.

  • this is crazy

  • Also, I don't think she's in her 20's. She's married and has three kids..

  • This is Stacy Westfall, and the horse is Roxy, who is not owned by her, but she's been in contact with the horse since her birth. Stacy is definitely not mute... and I can't be positive, but I don't believe she uses any verbal cues. Only her body. And this, is not easy. Not in the least. She's the first person to compete bareback and bridleless, and she got a record breaking score for this performance.

  • What a nice horse. What's his name?

  • @jonneeTV I'm sorry jonneeTV, I don't know, this is a video I had received by email and I thought it was an incredible video and wanted to share it with the YouTube community

  • @moscreations

Wizard's Baby Doll is his name. if you listen carefully, you can hear it in the beginning :) And since I've ridden a galloping horse before (with a saddle) I am still amazed that she can do this, stay that steady on his back.. she is an amazing horsewoman.

  • @jonneeTV . The horse is called Whizards Baby Doll AKA Roxy. Ridden by Stacy Westfall from Ohio. She is well known to ALL horse people. She goes around the country to major horse fairs and has also won the " Rode to the Horse" contest of colt starting. .

She won this event called Freestyle Reining.

Roxy is Breyer"s newest model horse and is available signed by Stacy.

  • @jonneeTV

the rider is stacy westfall, who is a pro reiner, and her horse is wizzards baby doll, a quarter horse mare.

  • Thanks again!

    a Beautiful moment.

A beautiful woman and Wizzards. ... story of my life ;)

  • @jonneeTV Wizards Baby Doll

  • @jonneeTV His name is Wizards Baby Doll

  • @jonneeTV His name is Wizards Baby Doll

  • @jonneeTV The horse is a mare; her name is Whizards Baby Doll owned (at the time of the video) by Greg Gessner. Rider is Stacy Westfall, Mt. Gilead, OH.

  • @jonneeTV Wizards Baby Doll, or Roxy

  • @jonneeTV what are you kidding me who cares what the horse's name is.........look at what a connection the rider has with the horse !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I thought i was a pretty good ridder, but now, after watching this, my self-esteem just got shot down! XD

  • this is such a beautiful video, thank you for posting it :) People, quit with the negative comments and watch this gorgeous performance :)

  • It doesn't matter to me whether the description of this video was in error, I just thank this person for posting this wonderful video.

  • moscreations...learn ur facts b4 u write in the description...her dad died 24 days b4 and she isnt mute...and this is her horse....and btw this stuff she does is pretty easy...and not everyone bounces when the horse is cantering(running)

  • @badassxbailee

you call what Stacy Westfall does EASY??

try getting your horse to do a sliding stop, spin, rollback, flying lead change and all other reining movements without a saddle or BRIDLE, at the PERFECT timing... no mistakes or hesitations!! She won reining AND bridleless CHAMPION: meaning NO ONE competing against her: is as good. Don't say it is easy, cause I know Damn well that no one can ride like Stacy.

  • @badassxbailee Wow what a fucking bitch if it's so easy where's your video badass?

  • Comment removed

  • this is her horse and she is not mute and it was 24 days before the day that her dad died... She was on Ellen lol

  • Comment removed

  • @badassxbailee if you listen you will hear the guy talking tell you it was 24 days after he died listen at 0:32

  • This video is just absolutely amazing. I have never seen anything so touching! Ride on!

  • Gaaaaah, so moving! My eyes are all misty :o)

  • I have watched this 100 times and yet and still, It's the most wonderfilled video on you tube...Ride on Stacy.

  • AMAZING GREAT WORK

  • that performance was sensational i wish my horse could move like that such a great video.x

  • WHAT IS THIS SONG CALLED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sizzlepopgirl It says above it's "Live Like You Were Dying" by Tim McGraw

and you can download it from iTunes

  • @sizzlepopgirl good lord......doesn't anyone get this video.........it's not about the song or the horse's name it's all about the connection she has with the horse......it's beyond dressage riding !!!!! no bridle, no saddle, just a total bonding between the horse and the rider !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @TheDeborah54 I'm glad to see somebody gets it! It's like they are one. The connection between girl and horse almost seems spiritual.

  • This is definitley an amazing video. Stacey Westfall is an amazing teacher, I think people are confused as to the word MUTE. This means she is not saying anything to the horse. It does not mean that she does not speak in general! This woman does know how to speak, just to get it clear, I have some of her training videos! LOL It is incredible that she can communicate on this level with thos horse though! Great job Stacey!

  • Okay so im just gunna say this is such an amzing video i dont c how shes does it! i lABSOLUTLEY LOVED it and i shared it with people and they all loved it also, it touched all of our hearts!! i feel sorry tht she lost her dad but im sure this made hm proud! it was AMAZING!

  • This is very hard to do. She has to have muscles in her thighs strong enough to crack a skull.

  • Wow, that is so amazing and inspiring :,)

  • Wow it's so amazing! Her work with that horse is so amazing and I think it was a long and hard way to that competition here! RIP for her dad... Really beautiful horse :)

  • Absolutely amazing

  • This is truly amazing whether Stacy is mute or not, which she isn't.

  • shows u dont always need a cold metel bit in a horses mouth x to accomplish something great x

  • And the horseback rider is mute, don't forget. This is very touching all the way around.

  • @redbird2005

Stacy is not Mute... I've met her before, and she DOES talk :)

    just lettin' you know

  • What a remarkable horse, what a remarkable woman, what a remarkable father.
