you can save it to whatever is best for your final output. You can save it as ai if you want to edit it in the future, you can export it as a PSD if you cant to animate them there, or you can save them as PNG's for assets used in a game etc.
Cool thanks! I tend to go on the side of caution and save it as at least a ai file then save as eps to export to photoshop to save it as a psd and as a png for animation purposes.
oh yeah for sure! I always save the ai file, and continually hit save every 5 minutes or so just in case Illustrator crashes. You dont need to save it as an EPS file though. You can skip that step and export the layers directly as a PSD. I made a video about that on my channel.
Some tools in the tools panel are hidden under other tools. Some have a little black arrow on the bottom right of the symbol in the tools panel. If you press and hold the mouse over those tools you will gain access to other tools in same category. It will probably show the line segment tool ( / ) look under that. Let me know if that helps. Im using CS5 but i think the Illustrator version in CS5.5 is CS5. I don't think there is an Illustrator 5.5
all cuz you made this video... ive spent the past few hours of my life making 8 bit pixel art! ive made 10 of em already. THANKYOU!! hopefully ill be ahead in my graphic design class at my high school when we learn this stuff :D
This is my first youtube comment ever; thats how badly I needed to tell you thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for to finish a school project. Great job.
If you are refering to downloading Adobe illustrator, you can purchase it through the adobe website. You can either download it or have them ship out the software. They also sell the software at a good computer store.
The software is NOT cheap but its a worthy investment, student discounts are also available. Do not download an illegal version of this software, support the good companies that create this software.Plus like I said its Illegal.

How do it on CS3 Standard?
Slickster1952 1 year ago
You should be able to use these same techniques in illustrator CS3. As it contains all the elements necessary (grid tool, live paint)
