@FilmPA i always thought carnivores are "meat" eaters meaning they eat the physical animal that they capture not suck the life out of them slowly... but if you think of it the plant has a "mouth" in which animals can fall into then inside is the "stomach" that digests the food... even if the animal is even partially intact afterwards its still kind concidered a carnivore

@FilmPA plants are alive, even if they are not conscious of that life like us, that doesn't make any difference it has been proved that they can "feel" they react to stimulus like pain, sounds, etc. No that doesn't make you a bird eater unless you would start eating only or mainly birds meaning they would be your primary food just then you'll become bird eater... maybe it's hard to understand for us humans because the mechanism is more complex but that's how it works in nature.
