  • OMG, YOU ARE VERY STUPID...OBAMA HAS ADDED 4 TRILLION ARE YOU KIDDING ME KID. OBAMA IS LITERALLY RESORTING BACK TO THE BUSH TAX CUTS HE IS THE WORST PRES. IN THE HISTORY OF THE U.S

  • smart

  • Well spoken...

  • U make no cents u fag

  • It's our civic DUTY to clean house. Let's march the steps and kick em all out!!!!

  • Amazing how even a kid understands what lifelong Republicans are clueless about.

Don't let these trolls tell you different you have it right, they are the ones who are wrong. It will be a lifelong struggle against ignorance, because of the massive right wing bias in the media that reinforces liberal stereotypes and bolsters admiration for the rich.

  • On the REVERSE-subject of EXTENDING govt power, Nick, I've been watching youtube vids on THE MONEY MASTERS (search it). It's 3hrs split into 22 parts, but it's worth it if you wanna understand how govt power has long since been transfered to a few super-rich families (Rothschilds etc). Very little gets done without these plutocrats agreeing to it, because they can just whack us into depression at any time (and often do).

  • Are you saying Democrats don't invade our privacy? We need to stand for freedom and smaller goverment. I vote for real Republicans.

  • Nick has a true illusion of history. Imprimis, Obama extended the patriot act and many democrats voted for it. Thus, it's not only the republicans. Second, Bill Clinton did not leave the White House with some surplus. We still were in a deficit. The "surplus" that Nick means is a "surplus" on our budget and that was due to the Republicans, who gained power in 1996 after 30 years, blocking all Clinton's efforts.

  • as for the health care bill it is just another step towards socialsm. you may want to pay for someone elses healthcare but i dont want to the sytem will be the same as in canada where people die when they need major surgeries so they come to america.your doctor isnt yours anymore that is illegal with the healthcare bill. so yes sorry grandma. on top of that we are paying for the healthcare bill already and the policy will start six years later so where is that money going to?

  • Only in Ron Paul we Trust...

  • Oh and btw, forgot to mention... Obama extended ther patriot act... This should be a hint as to what is really going on Nick.

  • @NYredwhiteandblue he has no idea what hes talking about thank you

  • Your theory is wrong... Whay cant people see this.. why would Healthcare co's really be against a bill that will force everyone to buy it's products... I guess critical thinking has left the building. Not an attack on you Nick, Just speaking generally. Just remember this, it isn't the way it's presented to us. Things aren't that simple. Good luck

  • Great video Bro! *****

  • @kats4prolife But he is living proof here on YouTube how our youth has been brainwashed.

Hold on to your arshes everyone.

  • YOU are one lost-ass little ball dud..dude? dudette? or whatever the fuck you are.

BTW... love your make-up, little fairy...

    NOT.

  • Hey Nick I loved both this video and your health care video. Just curious as to if you like Rachel Maddow? She's one of my favorite political news spokespersons and her intelligence seems to be similar to yours in the fact that you both know your facts and are very thorough. Thanks for being Democratic :)

  • Also, Bush was a horrible example of a republican president. I despise Bush being considered the god of republicanism, he sucked. He was given those powers because, we were scrambling to recollect ourselves after 9/11. It turned out that they made mistakes, whoo hoo. Oh, and Republicans don't have to be conservitive fyi.

  • 5 star/fav'd :)

  • woww! interesting! I hope ur studying political sciences because you surely have potential to make things change and people open their eyes. much love, xx

  • *applauds*

About time someone cleared up the truth lol

  • "It was for your safety.. Except it wasn't. BUT it was for your safety..." Lol

Finally someone i can agree with other than my family on this subject.

    THANK. YOU. :D

OMFG! I LOVE YOU, THANK YOU!!!

You said everything i've been wanting to say for months in 4 minutes! :D :P

  • Money comes second to the lives of the people who voted Obama into office. And now they're all bitching about the deficit, and how many jobs will be lost with the reform. This should not even be a debatable subject. Like civil union, it's a right not a privilege.

  • Childrens Chips already exists!!This is available for infants to 25 year olds of low income families.Costs $50 a month per family but most families pay nothing. They already have free health care.

  • Just because they don't pay anything doesn't necessarily mean it is free. Because they can't afford the health care they require, the government pays for it in certain respects. And guess who funds the government? Tax payers. So that means YOU are actually paying for their health care. And $50 a month is unacceptable for your right to health care.

  • Comment removed

  • Ohh man Nick!!Thats pretty bad...Have you even read the health care bill!!Its not free but if we do not buy it...we will be fined and go to jail!If something is sooo great..why do they have to MAKE us buy it.If somebody could not afford it before, and now they are being forced to buy it..that is government takeover man.

  • Very cool vid Nick! Keep up the energy man! I do need to inform you that omnMSNBC this evening they reported on a half dozen powerful Dem's that received large donations from insurance companies. Clinton? Followed 12 years of Republican Presdnts who cut spending and lowered taxes. They had to clean up double digit inflation and unemployment from the Carter. I think Clinton rode in on a good wave.(?)Bush W? Had increased spending with the wars which unanimously passed the Congress. Rep&Dem

  • Yes democrats do also receive campaign donations from the insurance companies but no where near as much (with the exception of 2 or 3 conservative democrats). And the wars were absolutely NOT unanimously passed, many democrats voted against it

  • i'm really happy you don't use a ton of jumpcuts unlike a lot of people on youtube. haha.

  • A socialist country like South Korea and in my opinion with a leader that is as bad as theirs.

  • I think its great that you get so many people riled up on political topic! Whether or not you agree with Nick, you have to admit that what he is doing is fantastic for discussion and getting people involved and thinking. Marvelous job Nick!

  • I'm totally liberal in most things, but when it comes to the healthcare reform, I'm not:

I want to become a Doctor of Internal Medicine. Doctor's wages will go down. I'm going to have $200,000+ in debt to pay back. I need those current wages.

Competition in medicine is actually good because greed influences the production of new, cheaper drugs.

The time it will take to get a simple doctor's appointment will be outrageous.

I think what's needed is tort reform, not healthcare reform.

  • this reform will not affect doctors wages at all, and if you ask me it is pretty selfish to say you want your wages to be high when as a doctor your primary concern should be the well being of the patients which this bill helps. Tort reform is so insignificant on the larger scale of money problems it is not even worth doing, Rick Perry did it in Texas and the results were adequate at best.

  • Even though my main concern is not the wages, I don't want my career choice to run me into the ground. I also need to look out for my future, not just my fellow man. If I can't be secure in my choices. I think that I can be selfish every once in a while especially in such a life-changing situation.

I do not disagree that the United States does need significant reform in healthcare, because it really does. But I'm just not so sure if this is the right way to handle it.

  • uhmi am wearing red undies lol...don't ask meh why i am telling you this

  • One Question tho How will be bill be payed u said earlier after 10years it will be paid off to balance out as 0$ but what about now ???

    i would details on this

  • Health Insurance is good, but I think that a public option is a must!

  • i support the bill but, i'm sorry to say that this bill will raise the national deficit. how else will we pay for it without raising taxes? We have to raise the national deficit.

The patriot act is something that we need in order to keep America safe. Just think, if someone wrote a threatening e-mail saying something about America, don't you want the government to know?

I wnat you to look up a video called "102 Minutes that Changed America"

  • I'm on SSDI thus I'm on medicare! It scares the hell out of me to think the government could someday be in charge of a national health care!! Let the government FIX the problems with medicare before giving them A LOT more to screw up!

  • Every other western democracy has public health care, and all of them except Ireland and Portugal have better public health outcomes in major indicators than the USA. We are behind the rest of the developed world because of Republican dishonesty and greed, and because of the utter stupidity of an electorate that votes against its own interests, foolishly thinking it protects "freedom." Momofreckles is just another sheep in that clueless herd.

  • I actually know a lot republicans personally, one of whom is in my immediate family, and in this video I am referring to republicans in congress and in the senate ... obviously the average republican who is not in government isnt receiving money from insurance companies. If you want to sit there and deny what I said in this video then you are the one who doesn't know shit

  • actually if you look at polls the majority of people who identify as republicans today are dumb hicks, not all, but most. for example a majority of them believe obama isnt a US citizen

  • Comment removed

  • this is not some obscure opinion, this has been established as fact over the past several months as people have been running from the republican party, you are in serious denial. go look at any public opinion polling

  • Comment removed

  • Momofreckles, I agree completely and totally with your points. The government is totally ill-equipped for this overhaul. Nick, I also love watching your videos until you get political. Belittling the Republicans and spewing liberally biased facts is not a good basis for any sort of political argument. Here's a tip. Find an unbiased source for your information and THEN give your opinions. Or better yet, get information from both sides and decide for yourself.

  • @Momo, you can google this stuff easily and find ample documentation. The perpetual "Source?" crap is just bitchy posturing and you know it.

  • @Momofreckles ..own personal beliefs? what about the facts that it is easier for everyone if we have this heatlthcare plan?, or are your personal beliefs contrary to what is right..and the facts behind it? lol

  • Comment removed

  • Our civil liberties are being taken away and no one seems to care. Nick buys into whatever liberal propaganda is being dished out at any time. I'm a moderate for a reason! lol

  • @Momofreckles lol, dude i live iin a comuinity with almost all republicans, and every single one of them sticks almost to the word of those argurements, so i can ouch for him, and i will tell you,he DOES kno this shit

  • lol God i love you so much. it's so amusing to just watch you. and yeah very good points.

I had a conversation with my govt. teacher bout the bill and i explained to him about the deficit of the 3 recent presidents. and he's like u bring up a good point lmaoo

  • XD oh man you were so funny in this vid :P

and yea those conspiracy theories are fucking HILARIOUS! cuz obama has nothing better to do than go and kill old ladies :P

  • honey I don't care that you're gay, I'm totally gonna marry you. You're amazing

  • Get in line. ;)

  • I'm glad that you are being fairly active and vocal about these issues! (There are also Democrats taki8ng Insur money and obstructing reform as well) My generation has messed this up royally, the greedy bastards...so I'm hoping to see you younger generation get involved and divert what appears to be another 'McCarthyism-like' scenario from forming... the burning times are coming! They've wiped the dividing line between church and state! Be vigilant, speak up & out! Be Well!

  • "Republican'ts" want us to suffer and be scared so we don't speak up... Here's one favorite line:

"Be thankful you have a job..." they have no soul.... I say THEY should be thankful we work for them ;) equality TODAY!

  • Great video!

  • ily and how u make me care about politics

u should be a politician of some type when u grow up

    just a suggestion

  • I don't think that you can compare the Patriot Act to Health Care Reform largely in that one is rights-based and the other is spending-based. As a Canadian, I can see the risks posed by public heathcare in that, while access is available to everyone, the quality is lower than it would be for some and higher for others. Personally, I like it that way and could not imagine a fee-based system. However, some concerns about quality of care under a public system ARE valid.

  • @rivroak Indeed, but should i, a 20 year old man, die prematurely because I can't get prescriptions because i can't get insurance due to pre-existing conditions? I sure as hell can't afford to go to a doctor, pay the fee, and then pay the outrageous cost of scripts. And yet, with my heart condition, i need my medicine. This bill needs to pass for me and people like me.

  • @rivroak, nobody ever said public health care is perfect, but what we have in the US is horrific and getting worse. Nobody in Canada (or any other western democracy) has to worry about going bankrupt from medical bills, but it's a very palpable risk here. Even the "insured" are shafted. (Most Americans filling for medical bankruptcy *had* insurance when they got sick.)

I have supposedly "good" insurance but waited 4 months for knee surgery in 2008 and had to pony up $1600. Oh say can you see...

  • @mark99k Yeah, we don't have to worry about going bankrupt from medical bills, we just have to worry whether we will ever get the service we need because the waiting lines are so long.

  • @GrandpaJim777 You can also worry about possibly going to jail, wages being garnished, taxes, and so forth. Not to mention the fact that you can also say goodbye to your liberties.

  • This was a great vid!!

You're so smart. It's a shame we have people triple your age who probably wouldn't care to understand your health care reform explanation. What a world.

  • This works in theory for the average no brain Republican. Not all Republicans were in favor of Bush, and I personally would consider myself a very Liberal, and Republican. I am in support of HCreform though, and you make excellent points! :)

I would advise being careful about attacking republicans, or straw mans to your argument which is strong enough to stand w/o them!

    Anyway, another great vid! 5/5
