  • Double Dragon Alliance-Master! Is there anything more awesome than that?

His movements gotta be that good that they have subconscious effect, but I don't know if this would work with not so transcedent (primitive) people like many practitioners of hard styles that don't care about spirituality and philosophy.

  • Dismiss the disbelievers..Its like trying to explain to a T Ball Player how to throw a curve ball. They are still playing in the Pee Wee leagues..... Their minds are set

on hard core Karate...If they only knew the power of balance, relaxation and intention (will). Good day..

  • On the other hand, can you blame them? They have never seen (or, more importantly, felt) anything that suggests anything like this is remotely possible. I remember being a snorting unbeliever myself not that many years ago.

  • Whatzz Fake? mma is fake?

  • Last few places left at this year's Double Dragon Alliance martial arts training camp in Shanghai 6th October - 14th October 2007.

Please check out our Double Dragon Alliance website or contact Rose Oliver for details.

Welcome to Shanghai and come and meet Master Dong for yourself!

  • to be fair, without direct experience of this stuff, it is hard to believe - its easier to spot this with other vidz: try doing a search on balgunbit - & look at lecture3('06.11.22).

If you're still sceptical explain pls how he does it?!?!

  • fake but still cool

  • Fxxxing Fake....

  • It is what is ..like the Shaolin monk who could do a 1 fingered handstand..~OM~

  • As A Xin Yi journeyman I can say this is the stuff that gives CMA a bad name and allows all the mma nutriders to laugh at gong fu. Even if it was real, it todays modern lifestyle and practice time, no one could develop this anyway. So that would make this ability highly unlikey today and thus useless in showing. Still respex to this old practitioner.

  • Thanks rose and thank you Master Dong Bin. Excellent.

  • This is incredible, i definatly want to taste some of the pudding to really see for myself if it's real. I've never seen anything like this apart from on "Star Wars" where they use the Force to push things around, it's like telekenises but i never once suspected it to be anymore than just a myth.

If this is real, hail Master Dong Bin of Shanghai for sharing his incredible form, i wish to be your humble student :)

  • Unfortunately it is fake but to understand the nature of these fake things and the reason why some people do so one has to live in China quite a time.

  • eh

  • sorry this is as fake as the Dillman stuff

  • If you ran up to a tree as tried to push it down, would you not fall on your butt? This man is like a tree with moving branchs...Salutations...if we believe or not..it makes no difference..

  • but if you brought a axe (for eksample the "chop down the tree" kick from Muay thai) it would be something else ;D

  • the thai kick would bounce off

  • I bet it would.

  • So what happens if the guy pulls out round house kick to the head followed by a shoto to the neck then going for a roundh house kick to the knee... would you still try push his hands then??

  • You've been watching too many theatrical movies.

  • sry, but i should kick him out of his pants^^

  • You've been watching too many theatrical ma movies.

  • I believe in the integration of modern physics into martial arts. And this video contradicts too much to be considered true martial arts. Force is created through mass X acceleration. There was mass but no acceleration. I don't care if he is a true master or not, this demonstration does not certify his mastery in the art.

  • Yeah well, according to modern physics a bumble bee's and dragon fly's can't fly.

  • Not really true.

  • of course its true. According to physics a bumble bee can't fly and a dragonfly can't stop hover and do a one eighty degree turn.

  • By this same reasoning, a hand grenade violates the laws of physics. It does not accelerate visibly until it has already split its confines.

Just because /you/ can't see acceleration doesn't mean it's not there.

Also, a good scientist recognises that science has very few of the answers yet. For instance, look up dark matter. It's postulated to be all around us and be four times as massive as "normal" matter, but we are only beginning to suspect its existence now.

  • Dong Bin is real master from the lineage of Dong Yin Jie (most senior student of Yang Cheng Fu). He is still alive and kicking today in Shanghai. Sceptics can go verify him yourselves. Lao Tze said "wise men know how little he knows but a fool thought he knows all".

  • The young dude flys off everysingle time, right after the old master is in the position where both feet are together. Funny, most of you think this is some magic thing. If you pause it frame by frame, you can see how non-supernatural this is. It is basic Xing I and BaGua mastered. I dont even see this as amazing anymore. Just the basics.

  • Do that analysis frame by frame. It is really apparent when he throws the kid to the left and right. You can see his BaGua coiling and his root ... and it is seen in a single frame. The opposite leg is always rooted from the angle of throw.

  • This is real and not a fake. I just downloaded it, and analyzed it frame by frame. He keeps to the principles of internal arts, SUBTLE AS ALL FUCK, but it is all there. The more you practice internal arts, the more subtle the visible application of basic principles. One can kick ass with these arts, but to look supernatural takes decades of training. Look closely at which leg is rooted and how subtle his root is when the younger dude flys off.

  • Doing head fakes on believers is itself a kind of gongfu. The old man obviously has great ability, and looks like he's just having fun!

  • Ling kong jing, good vid

  • Oh, boy! There are all kinds of diseases in our world. I think it's epidemic.

  • If you are free in November and would like to meet Master Dong, I will be very happy to introduce you to him and his student Master Ren Gang, whose video you can also see on youtube. Then you can decide for yourself, whether or not they have any genuine gongfu.

I do welcome yours and others comments, we should all be able to have an open and frank discussion about wushu, only in this way can we really help Taiji develop and grow.

    Best wishes,

    Rose

  • Rose, I think one should be ashamed of posting this kind of crap here. Even if so you'd better point out that there exists such a thing as fake "ling kong jin" along with it's psychological prerequisites. You are a specialist after all

  • Dear Kelimu, I can assure you that Master Dong is not "fake". His lineage is from Dong Shi Zuo and Ye Huan Zi, both of whom were students of Dong Ying Jie. I appreciate that there are so called "fake" kong jing exhibitions, I have seen some myself. But there is "fake" everything in this world, it is up to all of us to be able to discern what is true and what is false.

    Best wishes,

    Rose

  • I am not an advocate of phoney anything. I believe in the genuine object, whethyer or not it's in Taiji, fashion goods, medicine or human emotion or interaction.

The trouble now is that in Wushu circles, there are less and less of the genuine article. The proof though is in the pudding and to also be ready to try out somebody's flavour when you think it is fake.

    Best wishes,

    Rose

  • It is called "Chi Extension" you goddamn fools...

  • Why is the young guy jumping aroung and stomping with his feet? Is this a kind of dance?

  • No, this is how to protect one's central equilibrium, maintain the "zhong ding" so you don't end up falling backwards when someone's incoming energy overwhelms you.

The stamping is a way to "right" yourself, as well as get back into a ready posture to either continue the defence or launch your own attack.

  • Does anyone know how to find him?

  • Hi, Master Dong will be teaching in Shanghai at a 9 day training event that we're organizing.

He'll teach Yang style Taiji push hands and Taiji theory.

If you're interested in coming you can check out our website - doubledragonalliance or email me for more information.

    Best wishes,

    Rose

  • Shenanigans

  • ...the young man is just afraid to touch the old, because he knows the old controls the force(chi) better than him. It is not something supernatural```

Whatever the style is, in order to change one's status must by touching him, it is a basic common sense.

  • it's amazing how low people will stoop intellectually just to believe in something supernatural. of course it's fake. it's for old people who are none the wiser for their age.

i've been to a seminar like this and had the guy demonstrate on me instead of his chela. nothing happened for almost 20 minutes and finally i asked him in front of everybody if maybe he wanted to spar right there and then to which he nodded vigorously "no!". i'm a thai-boxer about his size.

  • Dude, i practice taiji myself and i will tell you... that's fake.

  • this is NOT fake. cool vid

  • I think This is Fake

  • Very nice Chigong , didn't need to touch the oppoenent at all, nice one.

  • hi rose, is he a yang stylist?

  • excellent! there IS taiji in the world
