  • how to you to that

  • @ansal25 - It helps if you have bred the bird, I started giving this one a tickle at about 3 or 4 weeks old.

  • Wow, that is one tame budgie! I bet those feathers feel just like warm silk!!!

<3 I love to see happy budgies... :)

  • @SharonM16 - they r real silky!

  • oh ok thx can u do a vid on how to clean a budgies cage plz? and how many budgies/birds do u have? wht age do u get ur budgies or train them??? thx 4 repleyin

  • @XSmallyX500 - all of the budgies I have had in the past I have bred myself, at this point in time I have 2 left which I keep in the house - Joey and Saffy ( I sold the others after a bad breeding season )

  • Oh ok thx I was just wondering and I hopefully gonna get a sky blue budgie and do u recommend males or females? When I get my budgie I will post vids of it :) xxx

  • @XSmallyX500 - I would recomend a male as they are more likely to talk (and be less nippy ! )

  • Hiya I'm hopefully getting a budgie soon oh btw ur budgie looks really healthy wht do u feed it seed/pellets? Oh and one way to get them back in the cage if they are scared is to stroke there tail feathers ;)

  • @XSmallyX500 - I always feed seed and millet, never tried the pellets!

  • very nice bird there i love how he just love you attention

  • Hi I just got a budgie for my birthday! My mum got him from a breeder and when she got him he was still with his parents. He is 5 weeks old and I was wondering how the easiest way to tame him is because he's so young!!!!!!! Thanks so much! P.s I've been saying his name -Albee- lots and talking to him and every known and again putting my hand in his cage!! He already hops onto mymfinger sometimes!! Any more tips!???

  • @MarlzyE - if you go onto my youtube channel page and follow the link to my website, theres loads of tips on there :-)

  • u pet it all ready!!!! my budgie is younger and can not pat it :_(

  • @MoshiMonstersela6792 - give it time, with loads of patience it will happen :-)

  • sexy budgie very sexy :L no he is really lovely

  • @RYANsilkieSMYTH , he was a lovely baby

  • Cute*

  • @BUDGIEbox , very cute lol

  • Awhh what a cuts little guy, what did you name him? :D

  • I can hear the other budgies also want a stroke! lol

  • @TheBudgieMeister - its one cute budgie, never minded me stroking it, sadly ive only got 2 budgies left now

  • Our budgie is a little over five weeks old, and he lets us touch him, but nothing quite like that!

  • @RebeccaFoxMusic - with patience you will get there

  • My budgies way more tamed than this!

  • @grimmjowrox - nice one - got any vids on ere lol

  • I tried this with my 5 month old female budgie. She just kept biting. Do you think I should let my two budgies mate, and then do it to the baby. Or should I just keep trying?

  • @rahamanfanforever - if you let your budgies mate you should have some youngsters you can go to town on and you can get them used to tickles and stuff from 3 weeks old which is the perfect time for taming!

  • how cute

  • @MrMrleandrom1 - glad u liked the vid :-)

  • Oh my God you are so lucky to be able to do that... my budgies are scared of everything around them... The male one can get on my hand but just in the cage, he went wild when i let him out and hit walls and stuff... I'm afraid to let them out now... they are about 7 months old... have any tips on making them less afraid?

  • @NarutoFan9342 - hey, if you go onto my youtube page theres a link on there to my website, theres loads of tips on there

  • @Budgietamer45 I did and there is useful tips there but I couldn't seem to find a method of preventing them from going wild (hitting walls) when they are out of the cage... maybe I didn't look enough?

  • @NarutoFan9342 - all I can suggest is make sure that your curtains are closed so they dont fly into windows as my birds seem to go to the window! after a while they will settle down

  • Hello, im a 15 year old boy. i got a budgie, hes name is timmy. i think he is a boy. i can give him kisses and he fly to me when i yell at him, but if i try to touch him he just pull him self away. do you know a method so i can touch him? :D he also makes some human noises. cant talk, but some noises i made :)

    Thank you.

  • @MrSimram He is around a year old by the way :)

  • @MrSimram - hey, for tips on training your budgie take a look at my website, the link is on my channel page.

  • Healthy baby. :)

  • How do you tame them?

  • @RainbowAcidful - hi, if you go onto my youtube channel follow the link on there to my website, theres loads of tips on there. Kind regards,Darren

  • wonderful!

  • stop having sex with it.

  • OMG HE IS SOOOOOOOOOOO BLUE!

  • *Budgie theropy*

Doc budgie: So, where did this big pinkish thing with five long bendy things touch you?

    Patient budgie: ....

  • @CEOSZyteff - I love my Budgies too, the best time in their lives in my opinion is weeks 3 to 6 or 7, they will let you do anything then! - after this they start to get attitude and stuff lol

  • when i put my finger in the cage they let me stroke their belly and then they put one foot on my finger and take it off

    what does that mean ?

  • @bunnylove565 - they are testing your finger to see if it is safe to step up! if you leave it in there they may also have a little nibble but shoud step up in the end!

  • His eyes are so big I just wanna hug him >o<

  • @superpet250 - he turned out to be a lovely bird and had 3 babies, we had to sell him though as he got too gobby!

  • puppies, kittens and budgies= CUTENESS OVERLOAD!

  • @candylover906 - I love cats and birds - not so keen on dogs lol

  • so cute *_*

  • @cynthia949 -glad u liked it! He gave us some nice babies this year!

  • Please help me , how did you tame you'r budgie , i have two and i try to follow diffrent guides on youtube and i made sure im doing it right , and waited like 3 - 4 weeks , but they still fly like a fucking maniac when i get close :(

  • @fliprabbit - if I was in your shoes I would try to temp him by trying to feed him some lettuce/chickweed or a small peice of millet, he would then see you as a food source. just have a small peice in your hand and put it near his beak, be patient - eventually he should take a nibble!

  • @Budgietamer45

I tried that but he did try to bite me , what should i do :( ?

  • @fliprabbit - one of mine bites when I try to feed it. just keep putting the food in front of its mouth, it should take it and over time will eat rather than bite!

  • @fliprabbit i just got two of them yesterday all u have to do is approach them and dont make any quick movments and they

  • Omg what a darling little thing!!! Me and my spouse bought a couple of hand-raised budgies about 6 months ago - they eat from our hands, and they hop onto our fingers, but there's no way on earth they would have sat still for the kind of stroking and petting you were giving your budgie! I assume you bred him/her yourself? That's what we hope to do.

  • @MusicAnythingBut - Yes I bred this one last year and he went on to father 4 this year, I have a kept a couple, one to pair up later in the year who will eat from my hand and the other one is 5 weeks old and is shaping up to be silly tame - see my latest vids of him!

  • I just recentle got a 4 week old budgie, well two. Would would you recommened as far as taming I have seperated them they weren't hand fed and are starting to fly.

  • @kdsalinas88 - I would try to get him to step up onto your finger in the cage before letting him/her out, this way it will be easier to get it back into the cage! I would also try to encourage it to eat from your hand in the cage with a small piece of millet.

  • hey i got a budgie and i have no idea how old it is i would appreciate it if you can tell me how to figure it out. i have been taming her and it has worked fine where i can hold him and feed him. but i was wondering how can i train him to do tricks

  • @barboza1998 - all I know is that at the age of 3 months they lose their bars above the nostrills, after this age its very hard to tell age! as for teaching tricks i would sugggest using a small piece of millet or lettuce as a training aid.

  • Hey the bird is going great but there is one problem: he has grown attached to the other bird and is getting harder to take out. I can't take the other bird out because he isn't tame. What should I do?

  • @Jamessquared148 - if it were me I would seperate them, you will get more out of the tame bird if you do this!

  • AWWW!!! when i got my budgie (he was 6 weeks) he was the same as yours but now he has became mad he bites screams and stuff :(

  • @scaaaper - to be honest hen they are really young they can be really tame - it soon wears off

  • were the wings clipped?

  • @TheNishgrl - no no no, its all about training them to get used to human contact when they r 2 wks old lol

  • Wow ! I have a baby budgie. I just got like a week ago? and i want it to be tamed like that! How do you???

  • @DancerQueens22 - the best way is to be VERY patient. Start by not being in a rush to get it outa the cage. Put your hand in the cage very slowly, gently go upto the bird and try to get it to step up onto your finger if it dont like this try a small piece of perch. you could also try to tempt it with chickweed, eucalyptus, lettuce or millet.

only take it outa the cage when it will go on your finger every time you ask - otherwise you will have a job getting it back in the cage!!!

  • @Budgietamer45 I've been able to get my budgies out of my cage (one more easily than the other) and I'm also able to get them to go on my shoulders... but for some odd reason if i sit down a few meters away from the cage my male budgie jumps and flys straight onto the cage. Any idea why this happens? I think its because the cage is still in sight but i have no clue.

  • @SlothyBoiiInQ - my mums budgie is exactly the same, try taking the cage away - it could work!

  • When I took him out tonight he was great! I took him out of the cage with the stick instead of holding him like we usually do and when he was out he didn't try to fly away. Then when I tried to put him back in the cage and he didn't want to!

When he is out he fluffs up does this mean he is scared?

  • @Jamessquared148 - yeah he could be scared, it will pass, one of mine does the same! he will soon get used to his surroundings and settle down.

  • Thank you so much for all your help. He has improved a lot! Tonight I managed to get him on my finger arm and shoulder! I just need to try and teach him to eat off my hand. Thanks again!

  • @Jamessquared148 - Your welcome to my help, I will always try to help if I can!

Hope your make more progress, keep me posted!

  • Thx if I do that everyday is there a chance he will become tame faster

Sorry I'm asking so many questions-never tamed a bird before!

  • @Jamessquared148 - yeah keep doing it every day and he will be tame in no time. try to get him to eat from your hand too, with millet or lettuce!

  • Thx I got a stick tonight and managed to get him on it. I took him out of the cage for a while and he didn't try to fly away as much. He even stayed on my finger for a while! Could this mean he is getting a bit more used to me?

  • @Jamessquared148 - sounds like u r makin progess, great stuff!

  • Just noticed something- my older bird used to fly to the back of the cage but since I got the new bird he tries to bite my Hand when I put it in the cage. Could he be protecting the other bird or is he just jealous of the new bird?

  • @Jamessquared148 - im guessing he sees the other bird as a potential mate and doesnt want you interfering, to be honest you would get more out of your new bird if you seperate them!

  • Ok thx so much for helping me!

  • He will sit on my finger fine but when you hold him he will bite is there a way to stop this?

  • @Jamessquared148 - I have trained loads of birds and in my experience none like being held! they like sitting on your finger but not being held!

  • Thx I got him to go on my finger and have been doing it a lot with him. He only bites when we hold him is there a way to stop him?

  • Thx 4 the advice just another question: should I take him out of the cage for a minute every day and if so how do u keep him on your finger so he doesnt try 2 fly away. Is there a way 2 stop him biting when I carry him. Sorry 4 all the questions!

  • @Jamessquared148 - your welcome, you shouldnt really takw him out of the cage until he will step up onto your finger every time you ask him, this way yu will be able to get him back in the cage! there isnt a way to stop him flying away - its natural for them to wanna fly, make sure your curtains/blinds are shut as well, they seem to want to fly into windows lol. you are better off carrying him while he is sat on your finger its much easier !

  • I got one today that looks exactly like that because one of my other birds died ;(. Any tips for taming it?

  • @Jamessquared148 - hey, dont be too eager to get your hand in the cage, spend a few days talking to your bird and saying his name. soon he will come to the edge of the cage to see you. Once you have his attention gently put your hand in the cage - very slowy, fast movements will scare him! leave your hand in there for a while and once hes stopped flying about try to get close to him and see if he will step up onto your finger. if this dont work try to use a small piece of perch

  • Im going to buy one next week, any tips haha?

  • @JoePaterson1992 - yeah, buy one of mine - they will be ready and tame (hopefully) in the next 2-3 weeks!

whatever you do make sure the bird has got lots of bars above its nostrills, the more bars the younger the bird and easiest to tame!

  • @Budgietamer45 haha thanks, I bought one today hehe it seems very shy has hardly moved all day :) its a very young one I think :)

  • @JoePaterson1992 - hope u get on well with your new baby, if you need any help gimme a shout!

  • @Budgietamer45 Thanks haha, the second day with it and hes much more calmer, singing away and ive had my hand in the cage and hes alright with that, ive stroked his belly a couple of times too :)

  • @JoePaterson1992 - sounds like your onto a winner already, top banana!

  • @Budgietamer45 haha cool, ive got a quick question if you dont mind, the food, his food container is not large but holds alot of seed, he eats probably like 5-10% of what is in the container. When i blow the shells off there is alot of food underneath, like 90% of the food is still there, do i just put it back for him to eat or throw it away? seems like such a waste if thats the case, thanks! :)

  • @JoePaterson1992 - personally, I dont put a lot of seed in his feeder, then I just empty it and start again - I find it a clat blowing husks lol

  • @Budgietamer45 I'll do it your way :) thanks for all your help, it's alot happier today :)

  • at what weak can i start taming them?

  • @MRT0BY510 - as soon as they start getting feathers (3 weeks) is a good time to start taming them

  • wow so tame :P my budgie is 4 years old now as didnt no much about budgies all she does is fly around the room not really very tame is there still time to tame her ?

  • @MegaDansi - to be honest by that age they have their own mind and do what they like BUT, you could try to get him/her to eat from your hand inside the cage, try it with millet, chickweed, eucalyptus or lettuce leaf. You will have to be patient, if it works you can then try this outside the cage.

  • @Budgietamer45 oh right ok , i tried this this morning she was not having it , was just jumping to her other perches but i will keep trying hopefully can get her tame , just wish i tamed her from the start but yeah didnt no much about budgies she was 3 weeks old when bought her, hoping to get another budgie soon so i may email you for tips if thats ok ?

  • @MegaDansi - yeah no probs I will help if I can, I have got 2 pairs that Im trying to mate at the moment, Have them about 10 days and the hens are looking in the nextboxes so fingers crossed I get some babies. Last year I have a bad year so im hopeful this year will be better!

  • how did you tame him?

  • @chuwi24 - I had him since he was born. handlng him every day from 2 weeks old.

  • When i bought my budgie they said he/she was about 4 months and he/she

was already tamed :) I was Happy

  • @NaruBlue123456 - I bet u was happy, I had to put in loads of hours with my house budgie!

  • @Budgietamer45 You mean I bet you were happy.

  • did you sell that one on gum tree

  • @theboaters3 - yeah i had ads on loads of sites

  • wow :0 :o

  • @Iranitas - he sure is a cutie and will feed from my hand and if I go up to him with seed between my thumb and finger he will eat those too lol...

  • where can i buy

  • @ambarawio sorry this one is gone!
