You're doing it wrong. The whole point of a foamgun is to *SOAK* the car for a few minutes so that the surfacants in the foam will lift the dirt off your clear coat. By not giving the foam enough time to do its thing, you are grinding the dirt into your paint causing many scratches and swirls. With the incorrect technique you are doing, you might as well not have a foam gun as you are doing just as much damage to your paint by simply using a shampoo soaked mitt.
