I just saw this video today and I was very impressed. I just bought an SR last week and I'm having a few problems. I noticed that my weights on the flybar are all set as far away from the rotor head as possible. Does this have anything to do with the fact that the cyclic response is slow or sluggish? Do you have any suggestions to get quicker cyclic response? Thank you!
@TheMegamadzak nothing special, just a straight line pitch curve, no expo and a flat line 100% throttle curve. It was pretty much as it came out of the box but with the flybar weights moved inwards to give a better cyclic response.
how many helis did you guys destroy to be this good lol! so would you recommend this heli for someone who is bored of the blade mSR? or what would you recommend?
i just started flying Helis i have to say its much more fun then planes
@flyfalcon91 when i got bored with my msr, i wound up buying the mcp x, a spectrum dx6i transmitter ,and a pheonix flight sim the mcp x is a little light in a breeze and totally a different machine compared to the msr
CAN I install an Auxiliary servo or smoke bomb igniter for "channel 5" on the blade SR, maybe use it to drop a payload or something i know channel five can be used for the "gain" on the gyro for tail corrections, but can it be used for something else?. can someone who knows what they're talking about please answer... Thank you muchos
Hello, i remove those weights and bump up the swash mix to 85, and now fly well but you now the tail is funny.., scare me hahaha... it's like fly and old 30 whit revo mix...
Hello, nice video, i have the same heli, set with dx6i but a feel the ciclic very slow, any tips to improve the agility?...all stock even the battery..Thanks
Great vid and some really nice flying, got mine yesterday and hoping to get out with it as soon as the wind drops enough, I did notice you didn't seem to have the dreaded tail wag everyone goes on about with these heli's, Did you have to set the gyro or 2 in 1 esc at all or is it stock out of the box????
just so you know this heli is a 6ch helicopter as in it has the capability of going forward, back, left, right, spin left, spin right, up, down, and inverted flight
Nice I got mine yesterday I haven't got to fly it yet but I hope to be as good as you guys one day I usually buy 2 channel hellicopters and this is my first 3 channel
im a beginner..i appreciate ur video..u twisted out all the blade sr is worth,,u guys flew it well..but in the future..take into consideration ..some of us cant afford the luxurious models u have ..so dont bash it to hard ..the blade sr happens to the porshe we can afford..GOOD DAY
@garymurdoch1 I didn't sound to me like they were bashing it at all? I think they were pleasantly surprised with its capability when compared to the more capable machines they're used to. So am I after watching this video. This little Blade SR is way more capable than the Heli-max Axe CPV3.
@JaleelJohanson62 maybe bashing was a little to harsh..it just seems like they are laughing and giggling along with body laguage right from the beginning..i apoligize if i ofended you ..like i said they flew it well..and i know it is a cheap model..so i felt to stand up for me and thoughs that cant afford expensive models yet share the same interest they have..
@garymurdoch1 Think of it as a group of car types that all drive muscle cars test driving a Smart car for the fun of it even though they're surprised that the Smart car delivers more than they might have expected. Besides, most people that are seemingly well-to-do are only so at the whim of someone else they work for and this status can change much the same way the person they work for can change his socks. When this happens a few times in life to people, they become more humble...
@garymurdoch1 we were not bashing the model at all, the idea was to just film us having some proper fun with the model and see how far we could push things. This was the first attempts at any sort of 3D with the model and you got our reactions raw and as they happened....along with several near misses. The laughing and giggling is pure nerves as neither of us knew what was going to happen or how well it would cope. As it turns out it coped extremely well.
@HeliTuning Thank you for your reply..i hope I didnt Offend you..If so. I apologise..I really do share the same excitment and joy of rc planes and helis ..Im a beginner in the model world..IM a Liscensed pilot in fixed wing aircraft.and IFR Rated ..Life has given me Obsticals ..by no fault of my own..That has kept me grounded and on a tight budget..I was Never rich but i did have a passion for flight.so i worked hard to become a pilot. Now i live it in Models.I hope to move up to great helis latr
VERY nice flying!!! Congrats! :-) I am trying to get my Blade SR a little more agile too. But i can't manage it. Could you tell the audience, what settings you used at your transmitter? That might help me... ;-)
I am a cp newbe with a blade sr. you are both fantastic pilots! after about another $500 in repairs I can do basic flight. My wife does'nt understand how hard and how long it takes to become that good. OUTSTANDING! and INSPIRATION! Thanks!
Nothing wrong with sloppy seconds, as long as you had 1st :))) Can I give u guys a filming tip? Use manual control on the camera, set it up for things on the ground...F stop & shutter speed then when you go against the bright sky it wont shut down & make the aircraft/heli so darkk. Nice flying by the way

@mountaindewdude76 moving the weights in from the paddle to the center of the rotorhead will increase cyclic response

It is stock, all we did was move the flybar weights in and bind it to a JR 9X2 (9303) tx.
Pitch curve is +/- 12 and throttle is running a fairly standard idle-up curve 100 75 100.
HeliTuning 1 year ago
hahahahah nice flying lads, i cant wait to get one.

Is it stock? What tx are you using? What's the your throttle and pitch curve on this?
