He can certainly replace Chow Yun Fat in that role. As for Ray Liu and the other replacements, they should all be executed. Watch the Chow Yun Fat version and enhance it, not make it worse. Everything about this remake is stupid with the exception of the casting of the main, male character.

@sntcity1 这个片子的导演高希希很有名，是个男的，胖胖的，但是他拍的片子­一般收视率都高。比如去年的新三国，虽然骂声很多，但是还是挺好­看的，大场面。黄晓明近年来不演戏了……郁闷……孙俪倒是在结婚­之前还接了几部，比如说今年11月份将要播出的根据网络小说《后­宫甄嬛传》改编的同名电视剧，她在里面演甄嬛女一号，我很期待，­是正剧风格，很虐。男一号选的是新三国里面演曹操的大叔，男二号­是个新人，但主要是女人戏，所以无视男主男配就可以。台湾也有后­宫甄嬛传的小说可以看的。

My biggest wonder on this drama was why he have to die. I mean she always mistaken him for..lyk..EVERYTHING! He risked his LIFE SOO MANY TIMES..for wat? An engagement ring..a pix...her father tht he hate so much. I rather it's more lyk Romeo and Juliet..kuz Juliet actually dies WITH Romeo..and 梁山伯與祝英台 turn into BEAUTIFUL butterflies..but this drama only kills the guy.
