Point, but it's this way in just about EVERY game with ww2 Germany! It gets so people automatically associate the Iron Cross with the swastika. The Iron Cross stood for a lot more in Germany before it was tainted by the Nazis (all the way back to the wars of independence against Napolean). Idk; it's a pet peave, really. But at the same token, take the swastika out, and people will forget the swastika and what it was all about in Nazi Germany. It must not be forgotten, or it will be repeated.
The flag at :06 is neat looking, but it's not what the Germans had in ww2. What gives? If the Soviet Union can get their damned sickle and hammer flag, why cant the Germans have their damned swastika? It is a HISTORY game after all: so don't censor what is HISTORY. I hate the Nazis, but it irritates me how it's image keeps disappearing in history games and yet the Commies keep their symbol.

@hisothiro sure - just nuke the Hammer and Sickle and replace it with a gold - outlined star. I'm not saying that it would be equally pathetic looking (or worse), but its the idea of one symbol being more "evil" than the other, trumping history, that my gripe lies in.

I'm aware of the European restrictions - it comes down to whether or not the publishers of this game had wanted to alternate the content along with what countries it was distributed to though. It was the easy way out, but I'm a big fan of the historic game, and authenticity is something I enjoy and demand a lot of, in spite of political ramifications.
@cinderpelt35 Indeed - almost all Nazi flags were/are red with the blood. So is the Soviet flag. It was merely a statement of my opinion, to be somewhat frank. I had remedied that somewhat, though for the board game.

my dad said he got nightmares from playing the board game with his brothers one day, he played 1 game for 9 days, it was intense.
