as a lot of folks want to know the speed on this car, we set up a run yesterday and clocked it at just over 45mph (@72kph) with the brushed motor I had in (and more importantly a charged pack), but we managed to clock 81mph (@130kph) with a brushless 7700kv Mamba motor in it. Though is did run a bit warm...
@BodhiTheGamer - Probably much slower, this is capable of way more, but the batteries were pretty much flat by the point this video was taken as the dogs had been chasing it for ages already.
This is the competition carbon fibre one, not the RTR so I don't know I'm afraid, but I can tell you the battery in the car in this video was pretty flat, so you can probably expect quicker.
At the end of the day, the car is superb, but only ever as fast as the motor you put in and as drivable as the suspension you have.

I got the RTR and i can say that it's really good and top speed is around 40 km/h =) Keep it away from water =)

Most dogs seem to love chasing RC cars, our dog goes after my gas buggies and electrics, and even tries to bite the tyres if given the chance.
What are the RTR ZX-5's like speedwise? I'm interested in buying one.

lol my dog chases my electric cars all the time, never seems to chase nitros or petrols though.
at least yours don't bite and jump on them too :D
