  • I'm looking to do the same engine swap. Any info/advice as to motor mounts, tranny etc. Did you use the 1uz harness and computer?

  • @TheVictor6951 It was all custom wiring. Wolf 3DV4 ECU. Stock 1uz engine mounts. Transmission was a W58 Supra 5spd manual box with a 1uz bellhousing adapter, with Toyota Dyna clutch...

  • @pr0j3ct86 thanks that's a beautiful car, and sure sounds good,,

  • it sounds pretty good..

  • Lol did i hear it touch?

  • Awesome!

  • what does this thing get for gas mialge?

  • @xxnissansilviaxx Well, a stocko 1UZ gets 10L per 100klms (Dunno miles to gallon) on a stock ecu with stock exhaust. ANd this has a manual behind it. I've since sold the car but the current owner has it tuned, so technically it should get like 6-700 klms per tank (cressida)

  • @pr0j3ct86 thats 23.5mpg thats great...

  • beautiful . I WANT ONE .

  • lOOKS LIKE YOUR AVERAGE aUSTRALIAN TOWN WITH THE CROWS IN THE BACKGROUND.

  • clear side indicators

  • wat fender indicator lights are u using on the cressida?

  • @subby5968 Stock front indicators, clear side indicators?

  • @pr0j3ct86 cool bro

  • that 1uz sounds sweet,

  • wat did that car come with a 5mge

  • @srowe1989 correct

  • does the celsior front sump pump come with that 1uz

  • @srowe1989 front sump pump? No idea...

  • hmm, why does this suburb look familiar? maybe its a coincidence i seen a neglected AE86 with custom plates (dam you,) and leaves collecting on it on that steep driveway next door... this looks like Leven st & your name is Project86... Correct me if im wrong, but im a Toyota Nut and i memorised that location in a hope to offer to buy the AE86.

  • @beanos351 yeah you're wrong ;p . It was @ Kingston. I would love to have an AE86 but alas, no dice. Many many Toyotas go in and out of that house though :) Lots of Celsiors, an IS250, Subaru Liberty Turbo, R31 skyline, the list goes on.

  • sounds brilliant!!

  • Perfect combination. This is my dream car.

  • That's crazy! Haha , great job on your cress man, my hopes and dreams are in this video lol

  • @pr0j3ct86 that's sweet man! I would be so hyped to have one in mine, Is it as simple a buying a 1uz and just putting it in there? or not at all? Haha, this inspires me!

  • @brutalanto not at all haha. Lots of custom work. The biggest things is running a manual, need aftermarket ECU to run the box, and then a custom map for the engine

  • What all do you have to do to get that engine in there? I know the 1j's and 2j's pretty much set right in a Cressida but this is a beast haha

  • @brutalanto It's a common conversion in the MX83s. It fit in pretty well in the MX73 though, and we had it out a few times and didn't have too much drama with space to move it, fits in nicely :) About the same size as a 350 chev

  • It was all done by the owners over the years, I didn't do the original conversion, but I may as well have, just about replaced everything in the car and had the motor/box out a few times. Stock Cressida axles. That's toyota for ya :)

  • @pr0j3ct86 Thats the 4.0 v8 from the Lexus LS 400 am I right ?

Do you happen to know what year the motor was ?

  • @tbskirk It was actually from a Toyota Crown, with a Celsior Front sump. So like an 89?

  • I give you soo much credit for the patience to finish the whole conversion correctly. I got a 3rd Gen though 85 in my driveway. . Speechless Classic ! 2 questions was this a self project or did you take to the shop ? and what axels hold that beast!

  • no, 16s. and I wasn't driving, and it's a very tight and very heavy clutch.

  • are those 18s

  • lol nice stall out

  • i want to do the same i got a 87 its stock with 18X8s with a 40 series tire buta its hopefully wont stay stock 4 long

  • Awesome ride. Whats the hardest part of the swap? Any fabrications?

  • Sick ride (green with envy).

Im serious about doing the same swap in my X73. Just not sure how to go about it.

What's the hardest part about the swap? Any custom modifications or fabrication? My buddy and I will be doing the swap ourselves so any help and words of wisdom will be appreciated. Thanks!!!

  • nice sound like muscle car

  • wow, even at low RPMs you can make the wheels spinning!

  • What were your expenses in putting in an like this? I'm thinking of doing the same to my Toyota Celica

  • hella jdm hella dope

  • nice

  • that thing looks mental

  • that my friend...is a big boy car.

  • Nice ride mate. A lot of work has gone into it by the looks of things, looks like a real neat conversion, and love the interior of the MX73 plush velour so 80's but oh so cool.

  • DOPE

  • what year?

  • @Swansen03 1985

  • just need some old school deep dish jdm wheels and it will be gangster

  • I know, hard to find them in 4 stud but. I want to do a 5 stud conversion and put on some d1r's ;)

  • @pr0j3ct86 15x8 front and 15x9 ssr mk IIs with negative offsets would be the go and come in 4x114.3 stud pattern ;) make her jdm

  • nah im talking bout old school work equips or SSR's or sumn, they usly round 14" 4 stud

  • was that a hard motor to fit in ?

  • nah, it fits snuggly though :)

  • that thing is sick.....

  • where is the hood cover?

  • I bet you don't have to use a starter to start your engine do you?

  • How do you mean? I have a starter motor... Standard 1uz starter...

  • It's a joke because you can roll the car downhill.

  • thats funny!

  • a force to be reckoned with

  • THATS A BEAST!

  • LOOKs and SOUNDs Excellent!

  • dear mother of god. beautiful.

  • Hi Kazu: Custom bell housing. There are 2 groups that make them: dellows auto or castlemaine rod shop. Need a custom flywheel and throwout bearing centre i think.

  • Thank you.!

    My plan is 1UZ+R154.

    R154 is JZA70.

    1UZ is UCF11.

Is making of the original bell housing by oneself good?

Did you see my 1UZ+GX70G animation?

  • Hello.

    I am GX70G+1UZ-FE.

    My name is [Kazu]

How do you unite by the W58mission and the engine?

    My GX70G is UCF11 engine+AT mission.

  • just put a vid up of my cressida if u wanna chek it owt

  • mx73 cressidas rule, mx83' are like jap commodores when compared.

    Good work.

  • hey man love your ride!!

hows it going at the moment?

mines got a busted water pump...

your car sounds identical to mine when it starts and runs.. i got 2.5" off the factory headers, then into a stainless cat, 3" to an off centre rear muffler!! Sounds tough as! :P

  • either cams if you want to keep it NA, or you'll have to supercharge or turbo it. Best bang for buck.

  • mean bro. iv gota 1990 cressida with the 1uzfe in it. looking to get some more power out of it, any ideas?

  • Hey mate, well it's a crown motor so it has the crown headers on it but the exhaust is oversized, i think it's like 3 inch all the way through basically. Cats may possibly be hollow too lol, not sure

  • What have you done to the exhaust mate?

Sounds like a true V8, unlike my 1UZ..

  • Sounds good as.

  • cheers dude. Just got motor back in again after leaking head gasket again, all good now, it hammers, faster than it was before, mostly because of the temp sender in it, instead of the oil switch that was previously in there from the last owner... N/A power, exhaust and cams. Which cams are expensive. the only other thing is ITB's but once again expensive. For a few grand just bolt on a supercharger or a turbo kit, you don't have to touch internals at all :)

  • that is fucking sick!! the sound is so beastly.

I'm looking to do a 1uz into a mx83 cress. have an idea of what needs to be done but I'm trying to find out whats possible for n/a tuning the 1uz. any suggestions on getting good n/a power from it?

  • Hey mate, well the engine/gearbox/clutch rebuild just cost me about 3 grand, and the truetrac LSD cost me about 1200 all up, for the centre and to fit it into the existing housing. The original engine conversion I didn't do... I swapped it for my subaru, but the dude had about 12 on it, but a lot more has been spent. Wolf etc.

  • Nice job mate, how much did it cost you all together?
