Very nice to know this kind of work is being done to save this wonderful species. I also had a woolly monkey who lived with us almost 7 years before we had to send him to the zoo. Adult wooolly monkeys don't make good pets. He died years later of a heart attack, the high pressure issues are true.
I agree Woolly Monkeys are awesome! Shame about the high blood pressure, has anyone thought of trying to give them small amounts of Thiazide Diuretic?
Thank you for sharing this video! I had a wooly monkey when I was a little girl and he was about 2 months old when we got him. This video brings back a lot of memories! Coco was like a brother to me and he was a big part of my families lives. I'm glad to see that there are still wooly's out there. Take good care of the little guy!
having them and "loving" them the way you did is not bad, but that is like promoting and "fund" hunters to kill their mamas, or how do you think you got yours ?, that's the way you can have a little monkey, or a baby monkey, killing his mom... it's hard, and i know what im saying, im from colombia, and we see a lot of wild life traffic here, and we know how it works.. and beleavi me, it is creepy
