Im gonna get bashed up about this, but just give the film a chance I guess :/ watch it before you give the final judgement (unless the trailer really turns you off, then watch Disney Classics :D) @ratiganrules Based upon Wikipedia, Rapunzel was changed to attract a "wider" audience (boys -.- marketing). This can also be seen in the emphasis on the male protagonist. I don't know :/ I like my protagonists flawed in the beginning, but then I'm a male, so my opinion doesn't matter *shuts door*

@ratiganrules marketing. it was originally titled 'Rapunzel Unbraided' and then 'Rapunzel' before they changed it to 'Tangled' (which Stitch Kingdom was the first to report). It's still called Rapunzel in many foreign markets.

I think "Tangled" would re-define Rapunzel to a whole new generation of folks out there to get-back and re-discover reading all time favourite stories. For the rest of us who grew up on them it's "Nostalgia time" once more.

Apparently the tone of it is very similar to the Beauty and the Beast, and from what I've read, there's supposed to be more dark themes and drama in it than comedy. Frankly, this trailer doesn't even do the movie justice. =\

To create a 3d moving world where it looks like everything was painted. A sort of evolution to Tarzan's Deep Canvas program.

People need to stop judging a 90 minute movie based on 2 minutes worth of footage, some of which may not even be included in the final film. Remember 'The Princess and the Frog'? Disney released a really 'epic' teaser, marketing it as an old fashioned fairytale, then released one that focused on the humour-people who have seen early screenings of 'Tangled' have described it as being on par with the Disney Renaissance, and I'm sure that Disney will release a more fairytale-esque trailer soon.

its wonderful how anyone with enough time and money can make a CG movie in less then a year. doesn't really require born talent. nothing dose anymore. you can simply make a 3d model of anything spray paint it and then move it around like a doll...doesn't require much effort.

I miss the 2D drawings. There is always a certain charm with someones actual hand strokes. Don't get me wrong, 3D is an awesome advancement in animation. I just think there should be more variety. As of now, it just seems over used. It would be like going to an art gallery and finding that every picture was made in the same style.
