Shanice created history on Laface and instead L.A Reid pumped funds into her album he stopped, and videos made for singles never released! How can U promote a single without a video in an era MTV setting the trend? I stick to my opinion that if Shanice had had the promotion of Whitney or Mariah, the sky would be the limit. This song should have been a top hit and Idont think it was because it was R&B Whitney Houston was topping the charts with the song All The Man That I Need an R&B song around the same time I just think Shanice got shafted in the promotion of this song.

U said it! Motown obviously lacked da marketing drive of Arista with Whitney and Columbia with Mariah. If they had focussed on Shanice she wud've led da way!!!

I recall a friend of mine on hearing this classic on the radio sometime ago, and close to the end she looked at me and said, 'That girl knows her notes', and I have to agree. Shanice is a stellar singer/performer who sings correctly and have one of, if not the most amazing voice. She is a singing wonder!!!
