Its about damn time the news people take this for what it is. I was so sick of hearing how we are all just dumb red neck fools who are unaware of what America is. Keep standing tall and push back the government. Vote on 2010 its the beginning of change! Not Obama change either AMERICAS change we want! Our voices will be heard!
Do you think he needed to be President? He is a millionaire author. He is taking constant ridicule and hatred. He is a Public servant and he is doing his best. He makes mistakes and is not perfect, who is? But he's trying to help the country. He restarted the GI Bill, supports the military and education and healthcare reform, green economy and high speed rail. He saved us from a economical downfall. I support our country and Commander in Chief.
once again, facts are unbiased. There were thousands. This estimate comes from crowd photos and police/fire chief estimates. The DC police kinda have some experience estimating crowds in front of the White House. Thousands of people who think Obama is a totalitarian Nazi Commie Muslim peacenik.
Oh do you have to call people names because you don't know how to form sentences? There there, maybe the Fema camps will have skools for you. Look out! It's right behind you! Hahaha
Not everyone who dislikes Obama hates him because he is black. Stop spreading lies and trying to pass judgement on anyone who disagrees with the president's policies.
I went to an anti-war protest in 2003. There were scores of thousands of people there and no coverage at all. Of course, we were civil and level headed...maybe that makes a difference. I don't know but I don't think it's not fair that people who protest fixing the health care system should be reported on, when in similar numbers, people who protested a war based on lies, wasn't.
Ah you missed a trick.... You should have miss spelt your signs and demanded to pay more for something. Pisst, also Bush was not black either so you could not have made all the colourful signs these guys did....
Good point. And apparently I had a typo on my comment. I meant to say 'I don't think it's fair that people who protest fixing the health care system are reported on when in similar numbers, people who protested a war based on lies wasn't.' Just wanted to clear that up. Could you add a positive rating to my comment, please?
Strange...I thought a lot of the "Fuck Bush", signs regarding Bush's wife and daughters and references to Bush being Hitler were pretty fucking colorful back in 2003.
Stop drawing conclusions that everyone who is not thrilled about Obama is simply because he is black. That is getting so damn tired.
No, but did they say tell bush based on is second name to go back to England? Or in the same way I doubt there would ever be a Protest if McCain won saying go back to Scotland!
I am not saying is its purely because he is black but a lot of the 'outrage' is dubious.
'FUCK Obama' signs would be ay-ok imo. The hitler signs in 2003 were related directly to patriot act etc.. so were appropriate. The ones now are baseless, then we got the Commie signs and Tsar ones..lol idiots...
"not thrilled" is an understatement when the conservative movement shows up to Obama events with loaded machine guns and pistols with signs promoting the assassination and overthrow of the US government. Grow the fuck up.
No you grow the fuck up! I'm exercising my rights under the first amendment.
And since when people showed up with guns to rallies? I gather you only get your news from Oberman? Seriously...these lies are ridiculous. Dumb signs, yes. But none of these rallies had anyone branishing weapons, nor wishing death on the current president.
ok i dont comment on this stuff that much but yeah you really should google "guns at obama rally" it has happend no ones shot at any one or anything but google it everyone covered it so you should be able to find some info on it
I particpated in an anti war protest in Sept 2003 and yes I do recall that the press was there as well.
People are not protesting against fixing healthcare; they are protesting the fact that reform may bankrupt this country and people may even loose even more benefits.
It is absolutely ridiculous to me that the same people who agreed with enthusiasm that we should go to war based on lies, which is the reason we are incredibly in debt, refuse to make a reasonable investment in our own country's well being and financial stability by reducing costs over the long run. Not fixing our health care system will RUIN us and anyone who disagrees with fixing it is a part of the problem, and just as destructive as a terrorist.
You are correct that healthcare reform needs to be addressed. However when you have nearly 10% (possibly even more) our of work, how is the Fed going to fund healthcare right now? Don't forget reform, calls for every single American to obtain health coverage. Medicare, Medicaid, and SS are well in the red.
RE: Iraq War, Dems and Repubs voted overwhelmingly to go to war ((remember Congress votes to declare war). Our "allies" Russia and Israel influenced the Iraq mass destruction report .
So what you're saying is that because times are tough, we should just throw up our hands and forget about changing one of the major issues that got us into this mess in the first place? Cost saving measures absolutely must be a major issue addressed in health care reform, but doing that without extending available coverage would be blasphemous. I see our health care issues and our financial issues as inextricably linked. btw, the uninsured who can pay for it will have to.
Blaming healthcare on financial crisis is over simplifying. Financial crisis comprises China's role in our economy, lopsided trade, subprime loan mess, and loose regulations in the financial industry. I would prefer having the economy fix and getting people back to work and on their feet first.. Would you rather rush into a plan/system without tackling how to pay for it long term? Can't always depend on taxing the wealthy and most likely every income bracket will be taxed heavily.
I'm not going to make the claim that people are 'back to work' but Congress did already pass the recovery act, didn't they? So that's that part for now. This is the next step since the health care industry comprises 20% of our economy. We pay more than any other wealthy country on health care and are no healthier for it. Don't forget that people who don't have health care now, would have to purchase it and much of the cost will be covered by savings from the current waste.
No one is arguing that the health care system in the US is totally expensive and not upt to par. But again I stress that fixing the economy has to take precedence. What good is starting up health care without completely supporting it financially.
Why is it so difficult for people to understand that the health care system is a major contributor to our economical issues and that fixing the health care system would go a long way in fixing the economy? I feel rage inside thinking that there's some other reason you don't want us to tackle this issue, like you're afraid that we'll get it right and it'll be when the ball is in the democrats' hands or something. and you'd rather democrats lose rather than health care gets fixed.
Because the Dems would love for you to believe that health care is major contributor to the poor economy. You do realize that insurance companies provide a substantial group rate to companies? If you want to get down to the nitty gritty, pharma companies and lawsuits drive up the cost of healthcare. I went to law schoold and worked as a paralegal and witnessed my fair share of frivolous lawsuits. You are aware that Obama received a huge campaign contributions from the Trial Lawyers Assoc?
Are you serious? Obama administration's intent is not to help people out but to gain more control. Just look what happened to GM and Chrsyler when the Gov took over. tocks are completely flat and even more people lost their jobs at plants and dealerships. Do you really want the government to manage something so important and personal as healthcare? BTW: Obama has troops stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan (Duh!).
Yeah, he doing this for the big bucks, not. He is making a piddly 400k a year. He does not give a crap about running car companies or any other business. He is fricking trying to help our country. Why don't you people get off your butts and try to help this country, instead of whining and complaining. If you don't like what the President believes, be a public servant do something positive instead of insulting him, which takes ZERO EFFORT OR INTELLECT OR WORK.
You still fail to get it do you? Why do you think Obama is pushing for people to use light bulbs which can cause far more enviornmental damage than regular light bulbs? GE is one of the biggest to the Obama campaign; GE invented those stupid light bulbs which contain mercury.
I really don't think this president gives a damn about this country. His actions and his advisors speak volumes in how much Obama does not care.
BTW: I voted for Obama too and I really regret it now.
Why is Obama's still spending $ on the war? He's more concerned with setting up his line of credit (healthcare) that he can steal from since Medicare is already stolen dry, than he is in closing Gitmo or endig the war in 5 months LIKE HE PROMISED. So u can stuff the LAME excuses. Call out your own prez for HIS LIES!!!
HE LIES!!!
Dictatress Pelosi is going to be 'verwy angrwy' @ the state run network.
he is still spending in order to pull out slowly to make sure he doesn't leave the country in chaos which would make it easy for terrorists/fundamentalists/dictators to take over.
but i guess that is to difficult for u to comprehend.
Well, I agree with you in theory, but more people have died this year in Iraq & Afghanistan than all of 2008...That blood is on Obama's hands as much as Bush. U also remain*silent* when obama hired lobbyists when he promised to ban lobbyyists from Washington. He voted for Bush FISA bill, promised to repeal it, then turned around & re-voted to keep it! If it acts like a Bush & looks like a Bush, IT'S A BUSH. Obama is Bush 3rd term, by actions not words.
I already know that. He created Al Qaeda in 1979 after Russia invaded Afghanistan. Brzezinski was a traitor not only to freedom, but to humanity. He loves control and Obama is his puppet. We need to look deeper than CFR, Bilderberg, and Trilateral Commission. There are groups more powerful than these mentioned groups. You may know their agenda, but you need to keep on these guys. You'll be surprised who you find.
There are great books about CFR, the trilateral commission and Bilderberg. One of those books is Tragedy and Hope. It's a good book and I recommend it.
I read books about that the NWO illuminati etc etc in 1980, when I was young and impressionable. I was all hyped up about it for a couple months. I am very familiar with the subject. I prefer volunteerism to paranoid conspiracy theories. Volunteerism entails work and actually helping people in need, which is a blessing.... Conspiracy theories induce fear and hate. Have fun grovelling in your bunker, wasting your life and don't be too terribly disappointed if you arent doomed anytime soon.
I agree, I have problems with these people, but volunteerism is what saved me from going crazy. Everytime I lend my hand to someone less fortunate, I begin to understand what the elite have done to our world. Hate and fear do surround these conspiracies, but hell, Ron Paul has always advocated for volunteerism. I still fight for freedom, but I do what I can to ensure everyone has a fair shake in life.
& the prob I have with the mack daddy Obama is, he's had 2 years to construct a healthcare plan & hasn't even gto one together. He is a delegator, not a visionary nor a leader. He doesn't know HOW to get things done. He's never accomplished anything in his entire life.
