Waking The Cadaver is kind of everything. They definetly experiment with their stye, but one thing that is true is that they do use the same drum sound as a lot of Slam Death Metal bands, with the snare's release dragged out a little bit.

Well, it's like..Comparing Pornogrind to Goregrind, I guess. I mean, I'm not 100% sure if they're all official, but I've heard of "Slamming Gore Grove" before, and I've also heard of much more rediculous labeled bands, too. For example; "Cyberpsychedeliexperimentalpo­rnarcotioregrind"

It must boil down to what the band labels themselves as, or something.

And I think bands are often too eager to create ridiculous new pseudogenres for themselves instead of labeling themselves under some already existing genre, that actually describes their music. Slam is okay, but not exactly the most complex musical genre. Slams can get annoying after a while.

I can't stand most deathcore because it's all breakdowns. Slam death metal has like 10 times more, they make up the bulk of the song.

Slam is okay, but nothing compared to technical death metal.
