i've worked with black people for years and have noticed that they consider some ethnic groups white that white society as a whole does not. they consider arabs and east indians white, for instance. and technically they are caucasoid, but not european. my niece is 1/4 syrian and is as fair as can be.

jews, on the other hand, mix freely with euorpeans without detection in most cases because most are of the khazar variety which were european.
