  • was this level made by u or is it in the beta??

  • It could replace note blocks from Super Mario 3D Land or you could put different model to it and make a hack

    lol

  • it's not meant to be a trampoline...

its supposed to be an item box you stomp on to get coins/a star/etc...

  • @kobzinfinity It's very likely to be a trampoline, judging by the incomplete coding.

  • is this already in the level select screen cheat?

  • Nice Video!

How I can put this Trampoline in the Toad's Tool object bank?

    Thanks:)

  • I don't think it would be coded to make him do that type of flip every time he jumps on it. It would probably gain more height the more Mario jumped on it, 3 times probably being the maximum height.

  • Mario looked like he was having fun.

  • lol trampoline XD

  • Does the beta model for Peach's Castle exist?

  • @Frauber, I have been trying to get the Beta Trampoline to work lately, but I can't seem to get it to work, also do you think there is a way to edit the hight, like how fast you come down and how high you bounce?

  • Comment removed

  • whats the code??? if you could make a code instead of koopa in bobomb battlefield (mini koopa that you can get shell from) the trampoline is there! can you please make that a code? if not, then it would still be ok if it was in tiny-huge island. or just replace signs or anything as long as it would work as a gameshark code. if thats ok.

  • Why not let mario just have a push up but don`t program him coming down and the flight up? Or was the gravity like that? Or even was the jumping up one undeleted function?

    I dunno lol ¯\(°_o)/¯

  • actually his jumping movements look similar to how it was on super mario bros. o.o he goes up and goes straight back down:D

  • Is there a way to make a model (such as with Sketchup or Blender) then give it a behavior?

  • Needs more "boing" sounds. Also, it might be a beta switch and not a trampoline.

  • @InsanimationStudios Point... Good point... BUT. The leftover functions may show that it was a trampoline but maybe not.

  • Does the Beta Castle Model Still exist?

  • Obviously the trampoline is a BETA object. Like all BETA objects, it's apparently unfinished (FYI duh.) But it's also interesting at the same time. There's this time that Miyamoto stated that they had Mario and Luigi run around in SM64. Maybe all the BETA objects could be related to Miyamoto's statement. When Luigi was scrapped out of the project, they might've scrapped out all the other BETA objects that were used when Mario and Luigi were running around onscreen.

  • -.-

    1.key

    2.beta blargg

    3.yoshi egg

    4.ice bully

    5. and now trampoline

    lol

  • @ninochileno12345 and...red shells? there are red shell models in sm64, but frauber just hacked them to behave like the ones in mario kart.

  • how do you edit the coding? I want to make cool mods like you.

  • A Beta Element Found in SM64 Beta.

  • Hm, so there's no way to tell how mario would truly react to the spring if it were actually used?

  • Wow...

  • His fall needs to be a bit slower. Perhaps more like the speed of a normal jump, but increase the arc?

  • dam.

  • what's the model called in Toads Tool 64? And completely off topic: what's the Blarrg's behavior in TT64?

  • Not available in Toad's Tool 64 without some hacking. There's no behavior for blarrg.

  • @AwEsOmE4938

none of these have a real behaviuor, because a lot of them were ripped from the beta. frauber could only remake the behavior, and blargg has no behaviour. but, if you had to give him one to make it realy look like blarg, use bomb omb behavior(the evil ones, not pink)

  • COOL!

  • looks like a farm

  • Try to make it were mario comes down smoothly. I looks like theres a invisible wall that mario hits.

  • thinked the same

  • wow ha ha

  • i don't know that they have trampolines in the beta versions

  • How about instead of triple jump, just use the spinning jump when hitting a shy guy or in a tweester or something like that. Just a suggestion.....................

  • good job! do you think you could remake the mario 64 beta or at least make a replica hack? it would be cool !

  • he cold but it depends

  • wow, sm64 has a lot of beta mysteries...

  • if you maid that outside the castle you could make it spawn once you get 120 stars easier than that canon lol

  • Frauber, did you use the actuall trampoline programming, or did you make your own codes? If so, thats awesome.

  • There was no animation, so he created his own.

  • imcorrect, there is an animation to the spring when using yoshielectron's spawn code

  • Please explain how the animation would work.Because when spawning, Mario does a flip to the ground.

  • looks good except it looks like hes hitting a ceiling

  • how to get into beta menu? with that positions?

  • kool

  • this is a hack I've used it before

  • dont forget the blarrg

  • Dude that would be an awesome addition to the missing stars! P.S I LOOOVE that hack dude you did an awesome job!

  • Okay so,

    Beta Stuff Found

Keys in Big Boo Mansion - Maybe It Spented To much memory

Yoshi Egg - Dunno, maybe he was going to be a playable character, but he was removed, in toad tool there is an item called "Yoshi"

    Trampoline - Unknown

    Hum Interesting....

  • are you forgeting that yoshi is at the end of the game?

there are not yoshi eggs but yoshi is in super mario 64.

    on top of the castle.

  • Oh yeah!

Oh yeah forget that thing about yoshi begging a playable character

  • you see yoshi on the roof if you get 120 stars.

  • And Beta Blargg!

  • the yoshi eggs were the originial red coins used in the beta

  • I think it's the springboard from Mario RPG.

  • I think this wasn't a trampoline and when you jumped on it it acted like a ? switch that gives the magic hats.Because it doesn't look like that animation would fit.

  • Yeah, you're right, I think it was a small Chinese man in a ? switch outfit who gave you magic hats and berries and stuff in exchange for the hidden can of tuna in Dire Dire Docks.

  • Wait who gave this a thumb down?I don't see how it deserved a thumbs down.

  • I found textures for it.

  • WTF trampolin shells and blarrg what more dry bones !!??

  • How do i Put this Trampoline in my map ???

I Dont understand this with the Codes.

    Please Help :/

  • what if u used the coding for the jump when you bounce on a shy guy or snow person in cool cool mountain

  • thats very cool custom behav im guessing

  • Add it to the next release of The Missing Stars

  • hmmm

    Yoshi egg

    Trampoline

hmmmm strange im guessing the beta had many flaws such as the Trampoline sense his animation format is fuck up when jumped onto it. if i had more information with hacking sm64 instead of zelda games i mite be able to know more

  • We can't know, only the graphics and part of the trampoline code remained. The trampoline effect was coded by me as an attempt of making the object functional, but we can't know what it did in the development stages of the game.

  • Have you been able to get a more 'realistic' gravity?

  • @frauber

But one is clear! The Trampoline possible should be used for Mario jump on it.

  • @frauber I know this conversation is old but i might say something anyway.

I seen some sm64 beta videos previews that let you see what it does.It might be helpful for you to try recreating what move mario does when he jump. But i dunno if with the current hacking knownledge is enough for changing mario moves to a custom one.

  • Dont fortet blargg

  • Nice find! It's great to see things still being discovered.

  • It would be cool if you could make mario spin after jumping on it like when he jumps on a flyguy.

  • thats bad ass

  • Maybe you could add a completed version to a newer version of The Missing Stars?

  • can you please show me a tutorial on how you got all of those other objects in the flatworld?

  • In which levels are the graphics in? Just Bob-omb Battlefeild or every level?

  • The trampoline textures and polygons are found in the same bank as the cap switch, and this bank is only loaded in the 3 cap switch levels in the original game, so it's not even in Bob-omb Battlefield unless you (manually) change the bank loading commands.

  • I would continue reading your post on the forum, but your mumbo jumbo hex talk and my ADD don't exactly mix. What lead you to the conclusion that they went together again? I understand you drained out all the known values, but what lead you on the path to figuring out that the textures met the trampoline/switch?

  • To put it simply:

Since it was one of the few textures left after all the known values were blanked out, I suspected that there might be some polygon data somewhere. So I took the address of the texture, searched for it inside the ROM, and found a texture command inside the relevant polygon data, which happens to be just after the texture data.

It's actually a little more complicated than that, but that's the gist of it.

  • how do u (manually) change the bank loading commands?

  • A hex editor. However, it is in no way user friendly

  • Hmm, I think it'd run more fluently if you wouldn't the time between going up and falling down was more. Now you go up, and when your reach the highest point you don't slow down vertically or so before going back down now, no you immediately go down. I think it would work better if it did it more fluently, other than that and the fact it lacks a bumping sound... GOOD JOB!!! :) This is awesome!

  • if only you found that out before Missing Stars was released... *sigh*

  • You do know that he could just add it or something if he wanted to, right?

  • true, but then he'd have to release another version of it and make at least one star that you get with the trampoline, and the second he does that VL-tone is gonna find something even better...

  • What happens if you But Stomp on it?

  • Considering frauber coded the trampoline's effects himself, I doubt he bothered to make stomping it do anything different from touching it on top in general.

  • Yeah, I suppose so!

  • i wonder if they had planned a specific level for that trampoline.

  • Twas awesome

  • Good but take off the height cap

  • WHOA, that's new...

  • hmmm... maybe to make it look more natural it should collapse a bit before catapulting you away (maybe in the direction you're looking? would be a lounch like those wind-up toys in wet-dry)

  • Sweet behavior programming! You should make a code of this, it would be awesome!

  • I like the double rotations of Mario!

  • It would make sense if it was to be used to get to higher up levels in Wet-dry world.

  • Maybe you can use it in your game.

  • Looks erotic o_o

  • Interesting comment!

  • XD Thanks Dave!

  • What for?

  • "Interesting comment!"

  • Thanks!!

  • That is cool. Do you know if there will be any more.

  • Maybe make it so it blasts you up into the sky and takes you to secret level.

  • I wish that was in the real game

  • Nice find! I wonder how many unused devices are in the games we play, even after a decade.

  • OMG! I never thought that there are more beta objects in that game.

    Good job btw.

  • You fall down too fast and the jump is not that big

  • That could have great uses, but it looks kinda weird.

  • Good job of recreating it.

  • So it was unused by Nintendo?

  • He said VL-Tone found it, not made it. =P

  • He found the graphics/collision, but the behavior didn't do nothing with the object besides making it solid. I hacked the missing parts to make it work like a "trampoline".

  • oh ok. thanx

  • good job on that, but it is a little weird that mario jumps up and comes back down so fast. when he jumps on it

  • Yep, I have to find a way to make the gravity more natural.

  • you should put this on your next hacks, and maybe it was a way to go to rainbow ride level

  • It would look more natural if it squished a fair bit, then sprung back up and launched Mario. Although I wonder if it was originally used to warp Mario, like the ones in Super Mario RPG?

  • LOLWut?
