  • LOL everytime Kermit's exasperated and he curls his nose-or mouth or whatever since he just said he doesn't have a nose-I always DIE laughing. Every time. Have ever since I was a little kid! Sesame St just isn't the same w/out Kermit!

  • Kermit just sneezed for the first time in his life.

  • Grover is a stereotypical salesperson. Being annoying, obnoxious and trying to something useless that no one needs ever.

  • It's ironic.

In the later years they had Fat Blue --and in the early years they had Skinny Green.

  • This is so weird because i specifically remember Kermit asking Grover for some nose muffs to keep his nose warm on the clip where Grover tries to sell him some earmuffs. he says how about some nose muffs *sniffs* you know keep my nose warm.

  • That looks like Ernie's nose

  • thats right grover! i do not have a nose!

  • Kermit:(enraged): GROVER!!!!!!

    Grover: WHAT IS IT!!!!!!

Kermit: GROVER, WILL YOU LOOK AT MY FACE!!!!!!

    LOL

  • Poor Kermit

  • Poor Grover

  • real frogs have hidden nostrils, but kermit is a puppet, so they made him without a nose

  • @sathyaprabh00 True

  • I never saw Grover this openly evil before.

  • 2:02 is so funny!! I LOVE kermit!!!

  • @girly359 LOL

  • I want one! I need a nose warmer.

  • @littleteaddybear THe only nose warmer I give is a kiss!

  • I love it when Kermit's face scrunches up and he's silent! Grover is hilarious! I died laughing!!! LMAO!

  • @girly359 LOL

  • Thanks for that laugh and the memories. ^^

  • And here I thought billy mays was the best sale pitcher! lol " You don't have a nose for one of my nose warmers... that's okay... I'll throw one in your deal for free after purchasing two of my lovely warmers for just 4 easy payments of $19.95!"

  • 6:19 - 6: 23 LMAO PUPPET RAPE! lol

  • Anytime Frank and Jim were together it was pure GOLD. :) you can really tell they were great friends.

  • hmmm why speak Grover german? "Gesundheit"..is german in English ..say god bless you or not?

  • Is Kermit talking about doing a show in Las Vegas, Nevada? when I saw this as a child, I thought he was talking about a sport.

  • @muppetfan33

lol yeah he is says we don't want to do a show in Vegas!

    rofl!!

  • @glowsticx We who?

  • @muppetfan33

sounds like he says "uh no, i told you Bernie we really don't want to play Vegas."

Maybe the muppets? im not sure!!

  • @glowsticx LOL

  • @glowsticx I've Been To Vegas Once!

  • Hot-cha-cha-cha!

  • @muppetfan33

    Lol XD

  • beside that iI love "froggy" and grover... I just realized that grover said "Gesundheit" when Kermit sneezed....didn't know that you say that in English (I'm German), so that was funny too :)

  • @Schnabeltassenmaus

Lol...we often say that! Or sometimes people say "Bless you!" to someone who has sneezed. ; )

  • @Schnabeltassenmaus some people say bless you some say gesundheit. in the long run gesundheit makes more sense.

  • I just realized how friggin' hilarious it is to see Kermit talking on the phone with his legs crossed. Just one of those funny little Muppet things. :-P

  • I played 1:57 like five times. XD I can't get enough of Grover's expression... "Holy crap! He doesn't have a nose, does he?"

And then around 2:12 - complete and utter disbelief.

Now just what the heck happened at the end? 8O

  • Kermit, if I were you, I'd have a peephole put on your door, so you can look through and see who it is. And if it's Grover, don't answer the door, for crying in the bucket!

  • "grover......GROVER~!! LOL

  • and there it is... the priceless Kermit face of disgust at 2:35... only it has a nose on it this time !! LOL

  • Remember when Grover sells Kermit earmuffs... Kermit asks him if he has some other types of "muffs" like tummymuffs, bellybuttonmuffs and shouldermuffs, and he also says "nosemuffs", so i'm wondering... during the time after Grover sold earmuffs till this one when he sells nose warmers, Kermit must've lost his nose! :D

  • y does grover hug kermit???

  • someone needs to put the video were kermit gets teeth

  • What a menace Grover is XD

  • cvvemuri Um, that's because they're both played by Frank Oz. He also plays Fozzie and Yoda (from "Star Wars")

  • Grover sounds something like miss Piggy.

But for the fact that its a different character and personality, one could somehow assume (from the voices) that its Miss Piggy bugging Kermit as usual.

  • Is Grover a German immigrant or why does he say Gesundheit?

  • It means bless you in German. It is quite common for people to say it even if they do not speak German; I am one of those people.

  • Kermit didn't even cover his mouth.

  • Oh, thank you. By the way, I didn't know that "bless you" is the English term for "Gesundheit", my English is not the very best.

  • Kermit has a weird sneeze

  • Bernie was actually the name of Jim Henson's manager...Bernie Brillstein.

  • That is so cool! Bernie was also the name of my late grandfather. it is short for Bernard. :-)

  • @waddleduckie1 Bernard was the name of my great uncle from my mother's side. We called him Bum, because that's what his sister called him.

  • 2:19- 2:25 LOL he always pushes kermit on the floor

  • Kermit, don't let Grover in! Nooooo!

    Too late!

  • @Darren50001 OMG

  • Hello there Mr. Froggy! Can I come in? Kermit: "Uhh no" (grover barges in) rofl

  • @User5645556 LOL

  • Did Frank train Eric how to perform his characters? It's almost hard to tell old Frank ever retired sometimes.

  • Grover is an absolute joy to watch. Television gold.

  • old sesamestreet is hilarious

No wonder kermit moved outta the neiborhood

  • Sesame Street still has some funny moments, when Elmo isn't around. Parodies of Mad Men, Extreme Makeover, and Law and Order (Special Letters Unit) are quite funny. However Sesame Street and The Muppets will never be quite the same without Jim Henson. He put his soul into Ernie, Kermit, and others.

  • You make a lil monster very happy MWAH! LOL!!!!!

  • hahaha i love how Grover calls Kermit "Froggy".

  • this shit is hilarious i never noticed how awsome sesame street it

  • notice how kermit has only one ring of that green thing around his neck? sometimes he has like 3 or 4 in different shades of green....

  • Kermit is more loyal because he and Jim Henson started the muppets, and made what it became of Sesame Street and other programs. It's not unusual for him to be the victim of Grover's saleman service. And, he and Grover share together during lectures and children moments, so they know each other quite well.

  • At 1:30, the part where Kermit shout "GROVER!" always cracks me up.

  • Grover always does that stuff to Kermit.

  • Bernie was also Jim Henson's agent. Hmm... I wonder if there's a connection...

    :-)

  • look at kermits pupils theyre funny

  • I love how both Grover and Kermit react to the end music. Grover looking around confusedly while Kermit angerly goes 'Bomp.'

  • Funny how here Kermit says he doesn't have a nose, and yet in the earmuffs clip, he suggests that Grover should sell nosemuffs instead, implying that he does have one.

  • I love these Grover and Kermit skits from days past. Frank Oz and Jim Henson, legends xx

  • Pure Genius! Love how Kermit was chatting with his agent "Bernie" about "playin' Vegas"!!!!! Throwing some comic relief in for all the mommy's and daddy's trying not to fall asleep while they watch with the little ones at 6am!

  • On 1:30, Kermit shouts at Grover because he needed to get his attention and then Grover turns around and shouts "What is it?" and then Kermit tells him the situation.

  • Thanks for reposting this one.

  • Oh my god, amazing. XD

    Kermit is so abused. <3

  • Thanks for posting! - I love these classic SS sketches. :o)

  • Cause he is played by Frank Oz who also did the voice for Yoda from the Star Wars films. I like it when he did lis 'light-saber battle' in the 2nd Episode ['Attack of the Clones'].

  • lol 2:09 best part where grover tell kermit he doesnt have a nose hahaha

  • red nose!

  • Grover the Salesman = Bernard Maddoff

  • Kermit's reaction on 0:36 is the best...

  • Yeah, Kermit is certainly no Jew! He doesnt need a nose warmer!

  • "Can I come in"

    "No"

    "Thank you"

    LOL!!

  • that wallpaper is da bomb.

  • Isn't this 70s instead of 80s?

  • haha grover is so silly ^-^

  • This skit is soo funny. Most of the skits back in the day were hilarious. It's a real shame they took Kermit off the show now. Sad. Skits aren't funny anymore..everything is computerized. Eh...

  • luv kermit's face at the end lol

  • HA! The look on Kermit's face from 2:03 to 2:08 is HILARIOUS! One of my favorite of his facial expressions!!

  • Poor Kermit. He always has problems with fuzzy and blue guys. Grover is just like Gonzo..

  • he doesn't have ears either!

  • Does anyone have the Grover & Kermit skits when Grover would slap Kermit on the back?

  • I hate freezing my nosey-poo off

  • "Hello there Mr. Froggy"

    "Ah, hello Grover"

    "Ah,No"

    "Thankyou"

    Rofl

  • Gesundheit! :-) In Germany Grover is called Grobi aka Supergrobi. Lefty the Salesman = Schlemihl (a jewish word), Herry = Lulatsch, Sherlock Hemlock = Sherlock Humbug, Herbert Birdsfoot = Herbert Leichtfuß, Big Bird = Bibo, Count the count = Graf Zahl...

  • Thanks for sharing :) Germans are so friendly ^^

  • LOL! Fat Blue wasn't Grover's only victim.

  • "May i come in?"

    "no"

    "thank you"

  • does anybody remember the 1 where grover made kermit wear fales teeth please post it if you have it

  • yeah! am looking for that too.

  • Kermit seems to get more exasperated by the Sesame Street monsters than he does his friends on the Muppet Show. I just saw some clips of him with Elmo and Elmo seems to annoy him as much as Grover does here.

  • What a racist.

  • Does anybody have the English version of the sketch where Grover tries to sell Kermit a toothbrush?

    Thats another classic sketch! :)

  • "May I come in?"

    "No."

  • i ...i ...i ... x

  • I figured he'd just put the nose warmer on the end of his mouth.

  • I wish Sesame Workshop bought Kermit than the show would still be awesome

  • "Every man, women and child ... and frog needs one"

    So cute :)

  • I suggest Kermit getting a restraining order slapped on Grover.

  • Have you ever noticed that when Frank Oz performs a character, they never refer to Kermit by name? They just simply call him "Frog".

  • The fastest cosmetic surgery you will ever see

  • Here's what I don't get. If Kermit doesn't have a nose, how can he sneeze?

  • Tell me the truth, frog.

  • This reminds me of when Grover did something on teeth, fixing a pair of false teeth in Kermit's mouth.

  • Grover almost acts and sounds like Miss Piggy here! (I realize Frank Oz did both.)

  • Eric Jacobson preforms them now because Oz is a director

  • Yes, I heard about that.

  • Yes but Frank Oz does reprise the roles of Bert,Grover and Cookie Monster occasionally

  • That's what I hear, and I'm glad about that. I really love his work, he's a real genius, along with the late, great Henson.

  • 'When a person sneezes, German, Yiddish, and often English speakers typically say Gesundheit! to wish them good health, serving much the same purpose as "bless you" in English. Arrived in America with early German immigrants, Pennsylvania Dutch, and passed into local English usage in areas with substantial German-speaking populations. First widely attested in American English in 1910, about the time when large numbers of Yiddish-speaking Ashkenazi Jews immigrated to the US.'

    Wowee '-'

  • Since when is Grover speaking german ("Gesundheit" @2:30)

  • Hahahahaha!! I assume that's the equivalent of 'bless you'?

  • Yes, its is, which I know since I am german. I just didn't know that it is a common expression in the english language. Jesus, obviously I can still learn from Sesame street.

  • I dind't know that is was a common expression o.0 To be quite honest, I've never heard anyone say it at all. Though it does ring a bell. Perhaps in the few German lessons I attended, it might have been said.

HAHAHA!! Yes you can =D I think everyone can (=

  • I've heard it... Jewish people say "gesundheit" sometimes.

  • german people say it too (its a german word)

  • Maybe his mom says it to him when he sneezes.

  • poor ol' grover's gotta make a sale

  • Do you have sketch where Grover is a plumber and visits Kermit's house?

I would love to see that sketch again. :)

  • Kermit is my favorite Muppet. I totally remember seeing this when I was a kid, but I don't remember it making me laugh as hard at Kermit's sarcasm as it just did. "Can I come in?" "No." made me LOL.

  • Kermit with unneeded body parts is so wrong...

  • amazzzzin :P

  • Lovely! When i was a kid I thought that the part when Grover walks outside the window was scary!:D

The line: " No, Ernie, i don't want to play vegas" shows Jim Henson and the others at the theams sence of humor..! They made some jokes like that that so the parents and other adults could watch it along with the childs.. And then they would look at it in the other way than the kids!;)

  • That's what makes BRILLIANT kids shows, when the parents can watch and ENJOY with them. Not this stupid fucking tweenie rubbish and all these new shitty computerised animations. Gets righ ton my nipples. we need more stuff like original Sesame Street! ^-^

  • Oh, yes indeed! : D

  • I agree with you. (But what about your nipples???)

  • My nipples? Oh right, just a slightly cleaner way of saying 'tits'. It pissing me off... in other words.

'Foggie!! You do not have a nose!!' ^-^ Hee hee hee!

  • Ha- OK, to each their own I guess! LOL

  • Vegas? Heh, thought they'd keep that out of a kid's show, since since "playing Vegas" means gambling.

  • Not really, they have shows over there as well since i've been there myself ^_^

  • Bernie is the name of Kermit's agent.

I think in this context "Playing Vegas" means performing there.

  • Good grief, poor Kermit is getting harrassed by Grover just as badly as Mr. Johnson gets it...forcing useless products AND body parts on an innocent frog! Tsk tsk tsk...

  • BTW am I the only one who thinks Elmo sucks?

  • never did like that red bastard, he's alwasy like: "Elmo like to take Grover's spot." at least that's what i heard...

  • No. No, you are not.

  • How about the one where Grover tries to sell Kermit Earmuffs? That's my favorite one.

  • I just uploaded it the other day; check my channel for proof!

  • I prefer the ones where he sells that weather machine and the one where he sells toothbrushes.

  • I don't remember seeing this when I was young, but I do remember Kermit mentioning it in at least two other clips. I'd like to see one or both of the clips with Grover as a plumber.

  • Now, finally, Kermit has a nose for news.

  • poor Kermit has to deal with Grover's annoying visits. :D

  • What is worng Grover? can't find Fat Blue? You fight Fat Blue to the ground he would punch you. Iam suprised kermit din'nt.

  • they come up with some of the weirdest ending music sometimes :-P

  • Kermit's Annoyed Look is Priceless LOL

  • It says 80s, but isn't this older?

  • the nose warmer case looks like one of those cases for the electric carving knife for a turkey or roast!

  • That was so funny when Grover pounced Kermit and stuck a nose on his face!

  • And I bet that somewhere, Ernie is looking for his stolen nose!XD

  • better than Bert losing his for the statue! LOL

  • Right, the "Mysterious Nose Snatcher" took it, way back in '69.

  • "We really don't wanna play Vegas" Ha! Nice line.

  • my guess is Bernie is Bernie Brillstein Jim's then agent.

  • Yes that's right!

  • I haven't seen this since I was about 8!!!
