  • I still don't understand how Hurt Locker won best screenplay or any of their Oscars to Inglourious Basterds, fuckin politics.

  • NICK PERITO... absolutely the BEST RIP Nick !

  • drei Gläser!!! 8)

  • very beautiful theme... so touching...

  • хочется слушать еще и еще...

  • U CANT COMPARE TARANTINO'S FILMS! THEY ALL ROCK EQUALLY! MAKE ANOTHER ONE QT!! THUMBS UP BABY!

  • This song=slow dance.

  • hi i made a sample rap beat from this song, check it out if you can

  • this just song makes me just wanna make a short ww2 movie or a mafia movie xD

    thumbs up if you agree

  • Check out our cover (piano, violin) of this beautiful song on our channel! :)

    Thanks.

  • Why is the music from The Alamo on the soundtrack of Inglorious Basterds?

I mean I love "The Green Leaves of Summer", but what does Alamo, and San Antonio, and Texas have to do with WW II France?? I really don't get the correlation, LOL! Then again, it is Quentin Tarantino. Thus forget logic, and correlation...

  • @Pavletic111

It's a song. Logic has nothing to do with it.

  • Please Please can anyone reply & tell me any movie music as epic as this! I LOVE IT SO MUCH :) the only other I can think that can match this is the Godfather theme

  • Inglorious bastards was a great movie

    the soundtrack was amazing

    best reagrads from israel

  • You guys must remember this song was originally written for the "The Alamo" movie in 1960 and not for 'Inglourious bastards." IN 2009. They used it again in 2009 apparently as I never saw Inglourious Bastards..

  • can I get a mp3 of the same, wanna set this as my ring tone

  • toller regisseur, toller film, toller soundtrack

  • i love how tarantino kills off almost all of his characters in many of his films.

it's almost shakespearean in its amount of death per story.

  • "Once upon a time... in Nazi occupied France."

  • this movie was epic. When they got killing toward the end,i was so happy.

  • The moment i heard thins song play at the beginning, i knew it would be a great film.

  • @jermster17 same to me pal

i knew from the beginning this was a great movie fuckin epic!!!!!

just like the openin theme of the godfather!!!!!!1

  • @jermster17 I got goosebump when this song was played in the movie.

  • @jermster17 totally agree with you... what a great song for the movie opening!

  • @jermster17 So did my dad.

  • @jermster17

Same here. And using the retro logo for the film studio.

  • @jermster17 Agreed, another moment of great music was when Tarantino used The Surrender theme from the Big Gundown to introduce the Bear Jew.

  • When I hear this I am tansported into an infinitely unique unearthly aesthetic dimension. I can just prophetically sense the flow and depth of his hypothetical slavery western.

  • Ennio Morricone

  • I like it so much :)

  • best movie 2009!

  • So True

  • SO this exact arrangement is from The Alamo? It is not on The Alamo album. Only the Dmitri Tiomkin version is. I'm so confuseddd

  • The original was done by Dimitri Tiomkin & Paul Francis Webster. I don't know why it's not on the album

  • Modern Epic, I' have goosebump! Icon

  • The greatest movie of Tarrantino. It´s much better than pulp fiction or kill bill, and music.... I haven´t got words

  • Ok lets not over due the good comments.....K......

  • @jarda91 no way, pulpfiction is still an classic, and kill bill is just kill bill, you cant take quentin tarantino films are compare each other cuz they're ALL GREAT! hope u understand

  • @jarda91 i think pulp fiction is still better

  • @jarda91 basterds is a better first watch experience but fiction is better after multiple watches so fiction is better. kill bill has my favorite soundtrack

  • @jarda91 dont get me wrong...i liked this movie. but i thought pulp fiction was 10 times better!!!!

  • @jarda91 not true

  • @jarda91

    Yes, you're quite right.

  • @jarda91 makes you wonder what kind of soundtrack Tarantino has in mind for his next film "Django Unchained"

  • BADASS SONG

    AND MOVIE!!

  • this is my fave from Inglourious Basterds. just downloaded the soundtrack album. fuck, it's so awesome.

  • the best movie ever i think ;)

  • I'm fairly certain it's not a harmonica playing the melody. It could be accordion, but it also sounds a lot like a melodica. So who knows.

  • I just saw this movie: Loved it!

It's too bad that Shoshana died before she could watch her extracted revenge :(

  • @Sword1479 she would die anyways!!

  • @tatilopespt Oh yeah...good point

  • @Sword1479 Yet she knew that her dying would not stop her plan from taking effect :D Such a BADASS movie!!!!

  • is there anywhere i can get this without having to purchase the whole album and without illegal downloading.

  • have you tried iTunes?

  • @samuelsonlgn

Get ten or so codes for free music from food boxes or something

  • you could always do the video or audio extract using mozilla

  • @samuelsonlgn Grooveshark

  • Gets my heart pumping.

  • My favourite one! masterpiece : ) i would like to play it on my orchestra classes...

  • I agree, what a beautiful masterpiece. Good job Quetin selecting awesome music for your films.

  • THE ALAMO !

    john wayne movie op !

    haha quentins style again

    like an ode to spaghetiwestern

  • This would be a great song to die to

  • Wow, "TheRideArounds," you're truly an ignorant shit. It is NOT a harmonica, it's an accordion playing the melody. Get educated before you make such baseless accusations.

  • While my ears don't disagree with your analysis of the primary melodic instrument, I also question your base of information.

  • Glorious sondtrack !! Au Revoir Shoshanna !!!!

  • For me, Inglorious Basterds and Pulp Fiction are the 2 best Tarantino movies

  • I really liked Inglorious Basterds and is definitely one of my favourite movies by Quentin Tarantino. As for the others, it's hard to choose a favourite, they are all really good.

  • *Imagines bullets flying in slow motion beautifully*

  • its beautiful

  • bela, belíssima!

  • super extraordinaria música de gran calidad......

  • It's 100% an accordion.

  • Do u have proof to back ur opinion

  • Opinions don't need proof. If you meant statement instead then no, I have no physical proof seeing as I was not present at the recording. It sounds, to me, exactly like an accordion and nothing like any of the other instruments listed in these comments which is why I said what I said.

  • well if your 100% sure then u must have some source other then just saying it sounds like one, anyways its 110% a harmonica u douchbag

  • well if we're following your logic, what's your source?

  • i was making fun of your 100% sure bullshit, for me im not 100% sure its a harmonica cause i dont know that for a fact, its just my opinion

  • now lets just end this u fuckin final fantasy dork asshole,

  • you dont need proof to back an opinion thats the reason its called an opinion not fact

  • I'd have bought the whole soundtrack just for that song. Turns out the rest was also great, so I did buy the whole soundtrack, but this one's really above the others.

Also loved Cat People, Rabbia e Tarentella, and The Verdict. Inglourious Basterds is way, way by far the best film of 2009.

  • @ ManuABG:

Buying the whole album for one song?! Mate, but you know that there is a site called "rapidshare", don't you? You can also purchase single tracks from iTunes or Amazon.

  • Hey. First : I say WOULD HAVE BOUGHT the album for just this song. The rest of the tracks is great too, so that's not really of a problem.

Second : Rapidshare and torrents are boring to use.

Third : The word "buy", from my point of view, involves money. Do you agree with that ? I didn't use that verb randomly. I was effectively talking about giving a bit of my money for this soundtrack. Volontarily.

Fourth : You can't buy single tracks from this album on iTunes, they're all "with album".

  • @ ManuABG:

Wow buddy, easy :D It's cool. I also was talking about the idea of buying the album hypothetically, cuz of one song. but there is one thing I can't understand:

What do you mean by using Rapidshare is boring? what's exactly boring about using a sharing site, which gives you what you want easy & fast? Would you rather liked it if little go go girls popped at the corner of the screen, when you download from Rapidshare, so all in all it becomes more enjoyable & entertaining? :D

  • ^^ Sorry for the revious answer, which, I must admit, was pretty straightforward, but this due to a lack of time. I mean using Rapidshare is boring, because you have to find a good torrent client first, which isn't that easy on Mac OS, and I don't feel extremely secure about just clicking links on a website. I know other p2p apps like emule are pretty much the same concept, but prefer to check everything in the file is correct VIA the client. Very technical, I konw ^^.

  • Awesome like the film

  • it would be a great song to die to.

  • I want the DVD NOW!

  • ya that's what I thought it was

  • Pretty sure it's a bass clarinet :)

  • I don't think it's a clarinet or a bass clarinet.

It sounds quite "metallic" like an accordeon or harmonica... Perhaps a kind of Melodica?

  • Accordion - without any suspicions. I can surely say.

  • its a harmonica

  • its a harmonica

  • Its your mother fucking with me.

  • that was uncalled for, anyways I read somewhere it's a harmonica, some famous harmonica player played it

  • Hi StuntmanAustin,

Can you also upload "A silver dollar' from the same movie.

  • We're going to be doin' one thang and one thang only - killin' natzis. Sound good?

  • Each man under my comment owes me 100 Nazi scalps. And I WANT my scalps.

    (I just couldn't help myself ;))

  • and ya'll gonna get me 100 nazi scalps- taken from the heads of 100 dead nazis!

    Or you will die tryin'

  • if it wasnt for inglorious basterds i would hate this tune and now i like it

  • I couldn't more agree with you

  • its a clasic i love it too

  • What's the instrument playing the main bit in this?

  • Such great piece, I'm completely in love with this one... The movie's one of the best ever.

  • i can't think of a better song for the intro of the movie

  • Great Song

  • When this played during the opening credits, I knew this movie was going to kick ass =)

  • quentin terrintino is an artist. i cant belive he wrote the movie in 6 months

  • According to Christoph Waltz, after they got back from a two week Christmas holiday, Tarantino came back with 15 extra pages of script. Quite impressive I think :)

  • great movie. and i think it was a real masterpiece :)

  • great movie!! and it was a real masterpiece! :)
