  • @chipsmet It's not bad, I tested it with my multimeter to see how it would charge an agm battery. In float mode it gives off between 300 - 500 mah and for larger batteries it gives off about 1 amp. The charging mode gives off 6 amps until the battery reaches 80%, then it levels off to just a few amps. It never goes over a trickle charge when being used as a battery maintainer. It only reaches 8 amps when in the jump start mode, this mode is limited to 15 minutes.

  • did you get that from canadian tire?

  • @jheibertz Nope, a local store called meijers.

  • Thanks for this review, I've been looking for a trickle charger for my tractor battery, and it would be nice to have the boost start feature for our cars on the odd occasion we have a dead battery!

  • It really is a great product for the money. One of the best features that I forgot to mention is the built in battery desulfator. I let one of my batteries sit for a few months in a completely depleated state and thought all hope was lost. I hooked up this desulfator / charger for a few days and now it cranks the engine like a brand new battery. I'm thinking about getting another one to use for an rv while prices are still low.
