This game is underrated in every way. gameplay, music and even some of the characters are underrated. If this game had balthier as the main character itd probably be one of my favourite games. I also love the tutorial aswell coz its actually part of the story (or atleast some of it) so underrated. :(

@demonangel00 I don't mind the story personally. I like how the backstories of the characters and the way they interact with each other and their emotions are more implied. I prefer that over whiny Tidus and idiot Zell. Yes I know Zell's not a lead but he is a main character but he's one of the most annoying characters in that game. Vaan's a douche too but he doesn't seem THAT annoying.

This version is much improved over the original IMO. Still random chests but much better overall.

I've never played a FF game passed 6. So far this looks interesting. I didn't really like how FF7 looked.

@BrianD0313 Squeenix in these later games have a really hard time defining who the real main character is.  They portay a meaningless character as the lead when the story revolves around and is mostly about another character. Pretty much every FF game since the tenth game is like this.

@veteran0121 maybe they are trying to mimic games that have a false main antagonist like FF4 or a game that has an undefined main protagonist like FF6. I could never figure out who was the main character in FF6 since you can have any combination of characters in your main party. You'd expect the Hero to be mandatorily in your party for the majority of the time and if we go by that then it would be Locke since he dominated the WoB

@BrianD0313 Really? I think the main character is most obviously Terra. Even if you go to Kefka's Tower without re-recruiting her in the World Of Ruin she still shows up after Kefka is beaten to lead you out of the tower. Also most of the plot throughout the game hinges on her decisions or actions. Terra all the way for main character. Very obvious IMO.

Wow, good luck for complete all the sidequests and stuffs. It gonna take two hundreds hours ... Oh wait, I forgot the fact that Square Enix added a "Turbo" fonction for the gameplay. That's a good thing.

Not gonna lie. I couldn't really get into this game when I first played it. Three hours playing it, and I returned it right away. But, that doesn't mean I'm not going to watch this entire LP of it. I'm really looking forward to this one, vet!

And, why is it that the international versions are never released in the U.S.??? It's stupid, at least IMO!

I always got so confused in the American version about what kind of weapons and armor to give to my characters, I prefer it when they give you one class and you need to stick with that class, like FFIX, speaking of which, are you ever going to LP it?

Well, I'm definitely looking forward to the International version of this game. Like FFX, I only have the crappy American version of Final Fantasy XII. Although I didn't hate it, I didn't like a lot of things the game did. It was hard to stay immersed in the game. Maybe this version redeems the game.

I also like the music. It's no Uematsu, that's for sure, but it's pretty damn good, IMO. I really like how the remixed the FFIV version of the main theme for the movie intro. :)

@bigjays622 It's hard to get immersed in the American version because it gets boring. The characters are all the same essentially but not here. You have to choose jobs for them which makes it a hell of a lot more interesting. Controlling Espers and guest party members are going to be a huge plus too. Plus purposely missing chests for the Zodiac Spear IMO was pretty ridiculous. Luckily there's no crap like that going on in this version.

I really liked this game. I do like the world of Ivalice and they should totally explore it more. If you think about there are lot of Star Wars references in FF2 too. Hell at least they have the actual Final Fantasy Music and stuff unlike FF13.

@Kenshin1913 I never could play FF2. The leveling up system in that game was extremely broken so I could never play more than a half hour of it but after seeing HCBailly's LP of it yeah I did notice a lot of Star Wars references.

Yeah in FF13 i hate how they ditch the victory fanfare and the main theme used during the title screen in this game. It doesn't even feel like FF anymore.

@veteran0121 Drawing magic was probably FFVIII's biggest downfall. Other than drawing magic it was a decent game, but drawing magic was just such a sucky part that it ruins the whole thing.

I dont get why people hate this game. Its one of my favourites. Really wana get a copy of the english IZJS to have a go at. Was 3/4 through through my 5th play through a while back, n made the mistake of playing 10 at the same time n ending up smashing my only ps2 controller into bits after one to many failed chocobo race attempts....

@veteran0121 haha i didnt realise it was invisible! Just checked out a few vids. Think its 1/10000 chance of getting it. There is a technique to get it to do with a kids arms on the airship, but yea, its WAY over powered. If you can beat Yiazmat on the original FF12 then there really is no need for a weapon that powerful.
