WHat kind of guide rods are you running? Did you have any issues with the stock ones?

glockmeister stainless steel recoil assemblies. i have had one fall apart on me with not even 1000 rounds through it. might have been a lemon as the others i have run well. seems like using these my groups are a tad bit better and even though it wont flex like the polymer rods are made to do for the reliability factor, i havent had any failures yet through thousands of rounds through them combined.

i own an xd but the glock has gotten better groups with its lower bore axis but i only had one malfunction in almost a 1000 rounds thru it.xd is a fine piece

they are all semi-auto except the G18 which is select fire, semi and full. there have been modified glocks converted to full auto like the g26 and g19 i have seen online

funny you ask that because i have a video posted of me firing the G26 at a 8 inch wide steel column at 100 yards and hitting it pretty consistently. probably got a couple thousand rounds through mine. so at 7-10 yards which is going to be the normal range of defending yourself, its quite capable

excellent choices. cheap surplus ammo available for both also. the 7.62x25 tokarev and 5.45x39 ak-74 are devastating rounds.

BTW dude when it comes to auto cartridges i always go big n slow, cause honestly unless you're shooting at somebody wearing armor , 800-1000 fps does me just fine. Torque isn't always everything , nor is weight, But starin down the muzzle of a big bore handgun ala 45 auto is scary no matter how you slice it..

depending on atmospheric conditions etc, ( quality of ammunition / firearm ) Its obvious that bigger rounds make it easier to hit static targets ,aside from typical brick/stone arguements.

ye dude first rule of hydrostatic shock, Bigger is Better. Expansion makes the difference with remote wounding and neurological damage caused by a hydrostatic shockwave, so when you say .380 i say 10mm auto. Tho i couldn't say that to boyco cause he's got the same idea in mind , bein a firearms expert an all. ALTHOUGH, that's not to say there aren't 9mm rounds that outperform .45 auto's...

The octagonal rifling provides a better gas seal in the large caliber .45 ACP. for the other calibers i suppose glock needed feel the need for the octagonal
