I am "as dark" as you, I do not wear weave and I wear my hair naturally curly (and not a fro). When I straighten it, it is to my waist. I've never had a weave in my life. Many African American women do not wear weave because some of us have been taught how to grow and take care of our natural hair (it does grow you know, very beautifully if you know what you're doing).

wtf :S you are dark :S ..anyone would put you in the catergory of dark, and if you dont think its a bad thing then why do you keep repeatin 'i'm not dark, i'm not dark' ...and your parents complexion dont make a difference :S ..i really dont see the point in this video ...our blatently self conscious about your skin complexion. If you loved your coplexion you wouldnt of been offended. and you also said 'i'm a nice brown colour' or whatever. you cant accept your dark :S

I wasnt offended about him calling me dark it was the fact that he was trying to play black women like their uglier compared to hispanic and asian or white women. He literally called me a burnt nigger so I was just stating the obvious. both of my parents are carmel my dad is what you would call lightskin. I just was stating im not darkskin, and if i was I still would be badd so it really doesnt matter. All shades of black are beautiful so its time for ppl to stop being ignorant.

@britainjai I honestly think our race has issues that have been passed on from slavery its rather sad and Im not sure how we can stop it seems like every rapper wants a "yellowbone" or "redbone" and ppl that listen to this music dont have the sense to think for themselves so thats what they want too.

I understand exactly what your say...but just remember Jamaican, Puerto Rican, Domincans etc are NOT races they are nationalities...there are Jamaican, Dominicans and Puerto Ricans that are white, black, asian, East Indian...most are mixed especially Puerto Ricans
