neil's stuff is so diverse and many times beautiful like this one,and it never fails to astound me when people continue to yell out for "down by the river" or "heart of gold " at his shows . neil has played those songs thousands of times he hates playing that stuff....i heard him say so on a show from the bottom line in 71 . wouldn't they rather hear cool rarely performed stuff that would really turn neil on to play? i know i would rather a neil show of all obscure stuff than no hits at all.
@comeonboeltsy mostly related to fear....people are concerned to be hurt and disappointed and unloved...can happen at home, at work, at church, at the grocery store...even within
I love you more then times we have and have not shared . Wow I lived though that one . ConGrats New York. Enjoy each other. Many of us could did never have had that chance ,We had to be Men that had to hide in front of every body. Sorry Toby ,if it was my fault .
It's you. There's absolutely no similarities. Different keys, different tempos, and I can't hear anything similar about the melodies. You're barking up the wrong singer.
Of all his songs, this one really hit home. At the time I wanted to tell her how I felt about our moment the night before, but didn't have the words to say it. Whenever I hear this song I'm reminded to always speak your heart, no matter how clumsy it comes out. Sorry Christie, Santa Monica just ain't the same without you. Big thanks for sharing this, man.
To be a Neil fan, you've got your work cut out for you. Loooooooots of material. I've loved much of his stuff, but thanks to Youtube and my discography list from Wikipedia, I'm catching some gems, like this song and this album. Thanks Internet! Peace!
driving the 405 freeway from HB to LBC ..73 cutlass...neil starts to sing and it's all about what's going on at that moment between us.......silence......33 years later and it's still clear as a bell
I used to own pretty much every album Neil Young ever recorded but had to let them all go back in the nineties. A big piece of my life was spent listening to the albums recorded in period beginning with On The Beach and ending with Rust Never Sleeps. I don't regret one moment. Thank you for uploading this gem.

It's a sad communication / With little reason to believe / When one isn't giving / And one pretends to receive = Religion, relationships.

Theres no one out there like Neil young. How ever he plays his song, whether it be guitar, piano, studio, live, it sounds perfect every time. Legend.
