  • @BigfootsMonk might be your chest is strong but your triceps arent strong enough i notice sometimes when alot of people do chest workouts their Tris fail b4 their chest does or they can do heavy bench but once it reaches the point of the triceps taking over to finish the rep there is nothing there,but this is also normal since smaller muscle groups fatigue sooner just gotta work em more

    Actually, it isolates your chest.

    I mean it only works your chest, not a supportive muscle. A bench press does not isolate the chest because while it works the chest it also works the triceps. All pressing motions (bench press, db press, push ups) work these to muscles and an incline bench press will work the shoulders too. Other isolation exercises include preacher curl for the biceps and lateral raises for the shoulders.

  • maybe i missed it but should we be pinching our shoulder blades together like when doing a bench press? also should we be tightening the abs and buttocks?

  • not to dis or say you're wrong. but i believe you need to bend your elbows more....if you keep them strait you're using a ton of biceps to contract every motion. i've seen a lot of novice or people with "big heads" bull their biceps or hurt their tendons from being fully extended.

  • @lagoolleess you have seen a lot of people do that really? i have never seen a bicep injury in my life from dumbbells flyes and i have been working out for 12 years

  • @lagoolleess Agreed especially ppl with long arms u can over extend so easy and with heavyier weights its key to preventing injury and you can still get that stretch on you pecs. I pulled my bicep tendon doing it the way he is in the video now I havnt been able to do flat bench for 3 weeks

  • @kb826062871 Well when you have big weights you won't be able to lift them like that. First you rest the weights on your knees then go back with them. As you know...
