Im not trying to hate , I love sti's/wrxs that boxer4 is the baddest sounding engine under 8cylinders in my opinion, but why does every freakin mufflers system on these things have those two tiny holes drilled in the tip?? Im sure it's serves some purpose for something but damn it looks so trashy. IMO

@jokerd13 The purpose for that was to hold the silencer in. In 2011 Oregon Emission's stopped caring about loudness of the vehicle. This was put there before that. I had to put a silencer every 2 years when I wanted to pass my emission test then I would take it out right when I get my stickers.

@codenamecordon This is a Rev limiter that comes stock with STI's old cars dnt have that thats why they can rev past 9,000 rpms and b/c of the rev limiter compays are starting to do is add a rev limiter so u dnt blow ur engine up revving it up so much

@ShutDef31 what are you talking about? This is not a stock rev limiter. Rev limiter = BAD. Bouncing on it = BAD. Why? Because it cuts the fuel to drop RPM's when you get to a certain RPM.

This is a 2 step ignition cut. Meaning when it hits a certain RPM, it cuts the ignition to lower the rev then it re-enables it. Once you reach 15mph+ it disables it self.

Then I have flat foot shifting. When your foot is on the gas, you push in the clutch and it goes back to ignition cut at 6k rpm.

the crackling and popping you've heard is probably associated more with ALS (anti-lag) than it is with 2step. Not sure what you mean, but that is my guess. search anti-lag and see if that's what you mean
