awesome, not only do you go WAY in depth in how to create the essential parts of dubstep, you really showed a lot of shortcuts, and awesome tricks in ableton. This is the most complete tutorial I've ever seen, incredible that it's free. I bet skrillex isn't too happy about this if he knows about it.. By using this video series, not only have I become a dubstep producer, I've mastered ableton. Kudos brothers.

Effectively, I liked how you guys switched the melody with the counter melody. For anybody having trouble with the KSD files in the new edition of massive, you can click file in the upper left corner on the massive window and either use import KSD or batch convert KSD files in order to make them work in the new version.

Hey guys I just got massive and I'm using FL studio 10, and massive has been kind of problematic. Every time I change a setting in the massive window, and I try to see what i changed massive wont make a sound until I close massive and re-open it, making producing my own tones and altering existing patches very tedious and much more time consuming. @TornadoTwins Could you teach how to make performable dubstep with really small midi controllers, like Akai LPD8's? or korg nano pads or nano kontrols? not all of us have really huge sets of apc-40s and the like...

@mtracer100 In this tutorial we're not using any Midi controllers or keyboards, just to keep it simple. But assigning midi knobs to any know in Ableton is easy as eating pie. Just click the midi-map button, click any green knob, now move a midi know and it's assigned. Very simple.

@p1nn3rT In this case we'll be making a fully original track. Remixing is a lot easier though, you just find out what key the song is in, sample a couple of snippets and work off that. Original work, to us, is a lot cooler to do. But to each their own, of course ;-)
