I love Plato's Closet. They have one right near me in South Carolina. I used to live an hour or so away from Albany, but I never wanted to drive that far just for that store. So I was happy to find one near me. I'm glad how thrifting has changed over the years, and not all of them are the cheap-dirty, stereotypical shops! (:

I have a platos and a clothes mentor 2 blocks away! in my town we also have one specially for plus sizes, just a local owner, but same type store, I work there!!! love love love it, cuz i get like silver jeans, torrid, etc... for extremely cheap.. the most i have ever paid for silver jeans (normally 90$) is 26 bucks, and torrid for less than 10 bucks!!! amazing deals, and great fashion for cheap!!!

Oh yeah! I found treasures in thrift stores...like unworn gorgeous faux(fake) fur coats that look like they're straight of the Elle or Vogue magazines....jumpsuits, black LBD(little black dresses)...If one has a good taste in clothes and one's own unique style, then thrift stores are the place to find awesome clothing items....i had my coats dry cleaned and they look like straight off the runway...great quality, inner lining, etc......I recommend thrift store shopping for anyone! :)

There's a Plato's Closet here in MA too. My ex rmmate at University told me about it and I didn't believe how good she said this place was. I don't really like buying other people's items, but ur right, they ARE very very particular about what they buy for resell. They turn away a lot of items, so u know what u get is good. I paid $5 for these DOPE high heel boots!

I would only advise to not sell ur stuff to them unless u don't care for the $. They don't give u a lot of $ for ur items AT ALL.

So true.... when I was little, all the kids from my block would be outside running around & playing. I these days I barely see that cause they're inside all day too occupied with their gadgets. Even kids as young as 5 have all those gadgets. Its like theres no such thing as being a real kid anymore.

I love shopping at Plato's Closet I live in Dallas TX and we have like 10 in the metroplex and its always a different find at everyone but what I dont like is they pay you sooo little for your clothes. I got 26 bucks one day for brand new tags still on them baby phat, applebottoms and bcbg jeans...26 for all 3 together.

Diva, thank you for this video because you reminded me that I could sale my items to the thrift store. Like you , I love to shop! yeah the thrift store is the ish!!!!...I just found a Ralph Lauren Comforter like almost new!!! queen size for 10 bucks for my guest room and I have a 3 yr old who i have to go there sometimes cuz she gets her clothes so messy @ daycare and the thrifstore comes in handy when i need a change of clothes for her (i often find name brand for the low)...plus I always seem to find neat bracelets and other knick knacks....

They have that store in Florida and in Tennessee and I always used to shop there when i was in college. The only thing i dont like is that they dont give you much when you sell your stuff back to them. When they tell you how much money they will give you for your stuff (1 dollar, 50 Cents....) you may change your mind.

Me 2 April...I love those shops....here in malta there aren't really any decent ones but when I go back to the UK I am in HEAVEN in those shops... I was in a second hand store today, in a small village where my friend is living and it was so cheap, I found a cute H&M dress for 2$, a babydoll tunic for 1$, a vintage purse for 2$ and some really cute and new baby clothes for my godson. I love those shops, they're more expensive in cities but remember to visit those on the countryside when you're visiting friends and family <3 <3
