Only Muslims believe in Islam of the 7th century- there is no 21st century Islam. If that were not the case than we would not see how Muslims all over the Middle East are "stoning" "beheading" "gay bashing" committing real "genocides" "ethnic cleansings" "segregation" and have an insatiable thirst for the land of others in spite of so much already!

The Catholic League's recent campaign is a textbook case. Nobody group is totally blameless. Singling out Muslims is a little ridiculous; it's just a by-product of the times.
All groups want to censor things that offend them; no one should have that ability. As long as thats what F.I.R.E. is about in academia, they deserve support.

If there is a fear of terrorism or any other type of back lash, for showing an interpretation in the form of art, of an ideology from the group (terrorists), then that group should be sent back to their own country. Because if this ideology were truly a religion of peace, then there wouldn't be a concern, dare I say, phobia, (snark), of a terrorist attack for showing the art in question.
Ironic, moslems say that these terrorists are distorting islam. Now why would anyone be upset for insulting those terrorists? Or is it that the ones distorting islam would be the 'moderates'? Since nothing in islamic texts - koran, hadith, sira, or sharia laws - are about 'moderate' or 'peaceful' moslems/islam?
This is the problem I have with Islam. If you look at Islam completely and not as a Muslim you will see both very beautiful spiritual writing and tons of horrid violence. That is why the world is on fire with Islamic violence. Muslims deny the violence exists which is why I do not trust them because they are either selectively ignorant or lying. We need to have a discussion publicly on Islam but anything negative and you are a racist. Islam is at war with us, wake up and fight back.
The statement "Can Islam can stop killing people (everyday) in the name of allah? Until then, stop building mosques in America." is just as contradictory as the actions of the censoring administrators and extremists who use faith to justify violence. This is the necessary paradox of essential liberty. That mosque needs to be allowed to be built just as you need to be unrestricted in the expression of your views about it.

If there is a fear of terrorism or any other type of back lash, for showing an interpretation in the form of art, of an ideology from the group (terrorists), then that group should be sent back to their own country.
