@andyman14134 no i own a honda now and everyone i know who owns a honda have never had to to any work on it other than oil changes and such, and my "friend" his brother has had to have his engine rebuilt because he drowned the atv and flooded the engine. but my neighbor flooded his engine when i was riding with him and his started back up and literally forced the water out of itself. now my polaris, friends and uncles have all had to have repair constantly usually once a month

again i havent had one problem with mine it does cut out in high gear but thats just because its a little 400 but its a 03 and the only thing i have ever bought for it is a cv boot wich can happen to any wheeler.

Of course if you ask a Honda, Yamaha, Can-Am, Suzuki, Artic Cat, Kawasaki, or any other atv dealer they will tell you their atv is better than all the others because the want to sell you their atv.

Then the rear sway bar broke, we replaced that. Sometimes when I am riding it will make this little popping noise and the engine will just stop, that is realy annoying. It is hard to go up a hill or through thick stuff in high gear, you hit the gas and it just wont budge, so then you have to stop and shift it into low. We have put over $1500 in this thing. I wish i would have bought a Can-Am Outlander.

I have a 2005 polaris sportsman 400 and I hate it. I have had nothing but problems. My first problem was when I would go up a hill the engine would cut out, and I could only hit a speed of 10 m.p.h, took it to the shop and found out that it had the wrong size gas jets in it. So we replaced the gas jets, then we found out that there was a recall for this electronic control module that can over heat and catch fire, so we replaced that. (continued)

same thing happened to me, but the air filter was just clogged up too much, so they installed a new one and put in a new ecm while it was there, so it was no trouble, it cost under $100 from them to fix what i had taken apart, find out what the problem was, and put a new air filter on, cost included the air filrter

the ecm really was no big deal, its not gana start any fire
