give him a break, the guy is in his own house. he can stay as he pleases...just go watch another recipe if you don´t like his hot hairy chest and his tasty yucca.
There is something REALLY gross about watching this guy... I don't understand the idea. Is it a gay thing? He's kinda got the whole gay pride haircut and beard cut going. Put a shirt on hairmaster. Nasty muthafucka...
Thank you Nathan - I saw this root at my Superstore and decided to buy some to try it out, but I didn't know how to prepare it ... Now I do. ...Thanks.
Yucca Root is beneficial for Arthritis, Skin Irritations, and Cleansing the Bowels. I'm sure it has other qualities as well.
I will give a little of the Yucca Root to my dog as well.
He has a bit of Arthritis and digestive problems so this will help.
Nathan: I have to buy the fozen bags of Yuca. I never serve it for guests since I think it takes a special appreciation if you are not hispanic. I'm not, yet I enjoy it but must use oil, salt and adobe! It's great to step out of the norm and enjoy yuca. I hear they make good fries too!
Great video, but I have some observations to make the process easier and quicker: First, instead of cutting the thick skin with a knife, just cut the root in half, then in quarters and with the tip of the knife go on the very corner of every piece and lift the thick white part with the thick brown skin and just peel (pull) the whole thing off. Trust me, it will make peeling this thing SO easy.
Cont. Second: An hour and a half too cook???? No, no no! After you clean it, cut it like he did, only put it in a pot with COLD water, NO salt. After that boils, drain it, fill the pot with cold water again, add salt to taste. I can guarantee you will have ready yucca in less than 30 minutes.
@maidenfan1982 ok tell em exactly....put it in a pot wih cold water and boil it for how long the first time?? then fill the pot again and boil it again? I'm so confused, lol! I watched other videos and they cooked it for like 15-20 min, when i tried that today it wasn't done..obviously! I couldnr get it clear. Do you mind telling me exactly the steps to make it in that time, I would greatly appreciate....=)
too much salt! something thats really good to do is cut them even smaller and then fry them after the boiling, deep(ish) fry. make a little lemon/light mayo/garlic dip and hmmmm it's good.
Were you cooking something? Were you in a kitchen? Really, because I could have sworn the two of us were on a feather bed in an orchid garden sipping ginger tea with honey. That's what I remember.
Good demonstration. I never knew what a yuca plant was before this clip.
The only part that's a bit shocking is after having added (what appears to be) a small mountain of salt, you say you should ADD SALT before roasting. I had to laugh at that one, but I know you're right.
i will bet he has a beautiful yuca i love to try it.

boil your yucca for 15 minutes, then sear/brown it in a pan for 5 min, simmer olive oil with garlic and onion for 5-10 min and pour over yucca. DONE
SulakAttack 1 week ago
well... i burnt the yuca, it was TOTALLY salty and 1 1/2 hour was too much. On a different note, I didn't hear the whole video.
my mistake.

Wow, a guy with his shirt off, kind of adds that nausea that one expects with fine cuisine.
