Wow, definitely one of the better animations i have seen. The expressions and movements didn't looked forced at all, and you didn't have to rely on exaggeration to convey emotion. Good job!

How did you animate this? It looks like 3-D animation with 2-D backgrounds and textures.

its cel shaded. technically everything has a 3d barrirer except the backrounds which are handrawn. the textures are then 2 dimensional. like zelda wind waker
