Is it neccessary to worship anyone?, even if the ultimate one God was realized by all, why do we have to worship? surely the ultimate awareness would not require us to worship having surpassed ego as such.

I really, really, really wish christians would accept the fact that everything in the bible, every story, every figure, was stolen from older religions, and look at the facts. Scientists have recently found that there is a planet that is very similar to earth millions of light years away. There is no definitive truth as of yet as to what created anything. But if you go watch "The Privileged Planet" and read the Book "Rare Earth" you'll come away with a different picture about why complex life is extremely rare in the universe. And if you take a look at all the different types of UFOs out there, it begs the question of why Earth would receive so many visitors, if every one of them refuses to make themselves known to the general public.
