Sorry, but not all societies in the world agree that there is only one god...(Chinese, Japanese, civilizations etc.) and to state that a position like atheism is simply wrong because most other people believe in one god proves nothing whatsoever. It just doesn't hold up to logic. It could even possibly be that a few people are correct that there is no god and most people who believe in a god are actually wrong! ... but the truth could be anything because nothing is proved with that comment.
any langauge interact with other langauges .. then if a book contain such words (algebra - alchole - zero - algorithm ) will never be english simply cause those words are arabic :P
the whole Quran is in Arabic. if you want to understand the Quran in syriac or aramaic it is like you want to understand a person speaking english in another language.
if you want to understand the Quran you should understand it in Arabic.
I red the article he claims that huri means grape in the Quran huris are descripted as virgins and have dark eyes does this fit a grape. and he claims that Khattam an nabi means witness of the prophets instead of seal. this guy is just a christian missionary trying to disprove Islam. he claims that Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) got a lot of influence from christians. all Muslims should reject such a man like luxenberg.
opportunities? this is opportunistic thinking. A simple case of religious gullibility. People are critical because they fear for their futures, what have muslims done to acquiese this concern? Where is the understanding? We can see blind hate for other people by muslims where ever we go- this is not a case of bad people gone astray but people strictly following their religions. How can this be overcome?

There are parts of Quran, originally not written in Arabic language!
Luxenberg, Christoph:
The Syro-Aramaic Reading of the Koran
Berlin: Schiler, 2007.
ISBN 3-89930-088-2
Hardcover, 352 p.
"probably the most important book ever written on the Koran." (The Guardian)
