just to let you know, this works you legs, not your abbs ok. trust me im a profesional with the human body and training athletes. hence why sprinter get slower when having a weight o their feel wile performing this.
there r many variations of half sits all working different parts of your abs, your abs arnt just the visable bits theyre r layers inside the body. a few different variations are:
a half sit with legs in the air knees bent or straight depending on your strength, dont put your legs out just above the ground this puts strain on your lower back.
half sit but push your arms out to the side instead of onto of ur knees, dnt altinate do a set amount of reps for 1 side and then switch. i hope this helps
hi everyone you might not realize it but half sits are actually far more beneficial to you than normal sit ups this is because in normal sit ups you use more than just your stomack muscles as well as putting strain on your back. half sits just work your abs, the less amount of movement needed also increases the amount of reps you can do in the same amount of time. if you dont believe me try it for yourself, you will soon feel the difference !
So its a sit up.

its like running. do you get big bulky muscles when running, no you tone.
if you use a big weight then you will get bigger abs but you will need to do the toning too so they build the under layers of the abdominal.
