  • I think a lot of this getting lost in translation. It seems to me that:

    The silver ore (which also contains lead in this case) is melted in a crucible made from ground up animal bone. The animal bone formed crucible is porous allowing the lead from the ore to be drawn away from the silver into the crucible itself, silver has a greater surface-tension than lead and therefore doesn't 'soak' away into the animal bone, leaving you with a piece of pure silver. I think the silver is very real :)

  • That's not silver. Silver glows when it's liquid.

  • @largesatsuma 1:20 it is starting to glow a bit as it gradually purifies. They showed only the starts of the process.
