  • Really well played. This is one of Satie's many mini-classics, and you did a fine job! I've got the same illustrated 'sports' music book, and it's a lovely edition.

  • great!

  • @BoiceInTheHood Satie once said that the temp depends on the mood of the interpreter. There is no "correct" way per se, but the tempo of this piece is given as "modéré" (moderate).

  • A bit too fast, especially given that the tempo is given as "Modéré" (moderate). Also, the dynamic level is never written above piano (in fact, every dynamic given is piano), with the exception of a crescendo on the ascending A Mixolydian scale. When I'm interpreting this piece, I always imagine the slow roll of waves at sea and a slightly overcast day.

  • where did you get that sheet music book with the actual picture of the yacht?

  • @TwilightIndie I bought from Amazon, I believe it's a reprint by Dover.

  • damm you're great .

i love this interpretation a lot more than Yves and Cicollini.

  • @TwilightIndie thanks!

  • Meraviglioso!

  • You are playing this a little faster than Pascal Rogue does on my CD. Was the piece meant to be played this fast?

  • Bravo!

  • awwnn!
