the Vulcan Restoration Trust have had to halt taxying runs so that a full programme of engineering servicing can be undertaken (see web site) So this is the only way to hear this beast for a while.
I can remember being at Lakenheath Airfield when a formation of 4 x 4 jets took off one after the other and the sound waves going through me then as a teenager were unforgetable.
The cross wind was so bad they didnt think it would allow deployment of the chute! But the roar of the engines soon drowned out the wind over my microphone.
Love that sound, it brings back memories!

its just a taxying run but it nearly didnt use the shootbecause it was so windy. It will never fly again!!
