this song is in half-archaic hebrew. the language is hebrew indeed. the accent in parts of the song is of the yemenite-hebrew dialect wich is very unique and according to linguists retained many phonetic features of the old spoken hebrew.

the melody is traditional, the lyrics are not a whole, though the refrain is taken out of a traditional yemenite-jewish song.
